How does everyone feel about NC and IN? I think we are taking a dip in the polls due to pastor-gate but there is still a long time to go and I think we will rebound very nicely.

Hillary needs something like 65/35 in the remaining states to catch us which isn't happening.

I really debated about posting this. It is extremely vitriolic, but I do think it sums up how Hillary is viewed by many. These are two emails from two long-time PA Democrats.

As irritated as I am by some of the Hillary supporters reaction to pastor-gate and as irritated as I am by her and the "McCain and I are the only ones with experience," I still don't like hearing comments like that about her.

I do think they are sexist even if these people say they want to see a woman president. Hillary has been much criticized for being calculating and carefully planning every step to the white house. Well, duh, that is what one needs to do to become President. Do you think people just accidentally stumble into being elected POTUS? But, only Hillary gets criticized for doing what every man has and will do to get elected.

Obama has not stooped to that level, but he is running as a different kind of candidate.

Yikes! I couldn't imagine hating Hillary that much! I would rather have Obama as President, yes, but Clinton's not THAT bad.

Okay, I probably dislike Hillary as much as anyone on the DIS but I'd say even those comments were a bit over the top- the fact of the matter is that I have found her campaign to be distasteful and I don't really trust her but I'd much rather have her than John McCain as President.

It's imperative that we as Democrats coalesce around whoever the nominee is and get a Democrat back into the White House. The reaction from some Hillary supporters to Pastor-gate and comments posted like this about Hillary show how far we are from that.

I've been a supporter of Obama since his speech at the convention in '04. I said to my dh as we watched it, "There is our first black president". I had chills down my spine and tears in my eyes.

This is my first post on this thread, so I haven't read every page. If this has already been posted, let me know....

.....but, regarding "pastor-gate", does anyone find it odd that the issue of the minister of his church is only now being brought to the national stage? If you look at the dates on the following articles, you'll see that it's actually old news:

Camp Hillary or the RNC, hoping to derail his campaign? Clinton's motivation would be obvious. The RNC, following El Rushbo's lead to attempt to create more chaos in the Dem party, to tighten the race even more?

I just don't get that. I don't think it's un-patriotic or un-American.

But I think people have jumped on the bandwagon of this administration that if you dare question anything in this country, you are labeled un American, or against the country somehow.

That was an unfortunate choice of words, likely from frustration. In the politically correct sound bite America today one has to be very careful to evaluate the youtube worthiness of anything they say. We really don't believe in free speech anymore.

I believe Fox was running it this morning. However, since I have been on record from the beginning that I do not hold Obama accountable for Pastor Wright, I also do not hold the Clintons accountable for this preacher.

I agree, but the fact that Obama had to denounce Wright's words, it will be interesting to see what the Clintons do. I haven't been able to find the most recent audioclip online, but the guy is Pastor Manning from Harlem and he was screaming at his congregation that they were 'maggots' for supporting Obama!
