The Democrats lost seats in the House, Senate, and Governorships during the first two Clinton terms. ;)

And it will happen again no doubt.... But the Clinton's are owed by other Democratic politician's... Just like Richardson alluded too, they believe he owes them due to his two appointments during Bill's Presidency....

I think we owe it to the Clintons to nominate Obama. :lmao:

Leading democrats are going to have to decide if they're loyalty is first to the American people, (understanding the importance of running an electable candidate) or whether they'll put judgment aside, and go with who they feel they owe. I hope they care more about our collective futures than the past.

I think if Hillary keeps up with these dirty tricks she is digging her own grave. To try and get pledged delegates to change is just wrong, when the candidate is still in the race. I always thought that they had to vote on the first ballot for the candidate they pledged to and if their candidate did not win than they could change. Of course that hasn't happened at a convention for many years.

Hillary seems willing to do anything to win the nomination. Soon they will start calling her a flip flopper, she changes her tune more often than a player piano.

When will the American public wake up and see through all the smokescreens? I guess nothing was learned from the Swift Boaters. Just look at "pastorgate". I get so frustrated, I could just scream :scared1: .

You are so right. It would be great if the people came first. Do you think any of them (leading democrats) read the DIS?

Look at Richardson, he clearly wanted to support Obama IMHO but he is not able to do so because of his loyalty to the Clinton's... So, with that said, I think there are a fair number of politicians out there just like Richardson, in the same boat... I think our collective future is very much in the air with the crap that has been going around as of late. When this is over neither candidate will be left standing and the Republicans just sit back and watch...

This should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone.... it's the Clinton machine, they are owed many favors....

Yes, but the pledged delegates aren't usually people that would owe anyone. It's not like Supers. Pledged delegates are normal citizens that run to put a face to the delegate seat that was won by the candidate they support. It's not likely that someone who is willing to spend the time and money to run and go to the convention (I've been told it will cost about $5000-6000) is someone who will waiver in who they support.

It's a ridiculously stupid plan and would be the worst thing that could happen to the party, if attempted.

I know :( But I am a cynic at heart.... so I will hope you are right....

When is the election for your pledged delegates?

I guess I didn't really pay attention, but the primary for PA is on April 22? I just can't imagine anything good from yet another month of back and forth....meanwhile McCain is putting his team for the national election together.

:thumbsup2 Good luck, I hope you win.

Thanks. I'm hoping my disability status will give me an advantage with the affirmative action goals. It's really a hidden disability, unless I drag my dialysis machine along behind me.

Whether her supporters want to accept it or not, Clinton has stayed alive by employing many of the divisive tactics of Karl Rove, who masterminded George W. Bush's presidential victories. The theme is simple: Attack and use any method to make your point as forcefully as possible. Be shameless. Look strong. Show no fear.

(But, of course, being shameless isn't considered a character plus for most people.)
