The word " pensioner " would NEVER be used in Florida!!
They refer to folks as "seniors" ........and this can vary from 55 - 60 years. Quite a few places do deals for this group ( and I'm rapidly getting near to joining them !! ).
It's hard to quantify the discounts, but 15-20% is about the mark............and usually means smaller portions, in itself not a bad thing since most meals in the US are HUGE by UK standards.
Either way eating is Florida restaurants is ( generally ) a vastly superior experience to back home, and ain't going to cost you that much anyway.
I've just got my Amex bill ( returned 15/12 )..........and prices for 4 of us, 2 x adults and 2 x kids go from as little as £12 - £34. The £34 bill included me having an 18oz T-Bone !
