O.K. wish me luck....phone interview in 30 minutes!!

Castlegazer- I wanted to add that I did tell him that I used Sabre as my main source of "booking" as this was our reservation system. I think that helped. I was very nervous speaking with him as this was the first "interview" I have had in over 6 years. Hope that didn't show!!

I think you're golden then. That is really all they care about.

Is there any way to be proactive and send off some references or further information via e-mail while they are talking together today? Maybe a preliminary thank you note via e-mail (follow with a hard copy version via mail) if the latter is not applicable.

Just some additional thoughts for you this morning. I am sooo crossing my fingers here.

Oh, 1 more thing-this is very ironic!! You know hoe my friend is a CM for CRO? Well, of course I had asked his opinion on this company and he said they have a good reputation and he deals with them occasionally-but hadn't in some time. He emailed me yesterday to tell me he had just got off the phone with 1 of their agents!! He told her about me and she gave him her 888 number and told him to have me give her a call and she would answer any questions I had!! The really funny thing is that 2 days ago I called just to find out if they were an "actual" agency that just had a few outside agents and she was the one I talked to!!! I didn't tell her my name or anything but we chatted for a mniute and she was very pleasant. I haven't called her as she requested because I have had the interview since and I didn't want to be "overbearing" although I would love to talk with her. Do you think I should call her or just leave it alone? I think I should just leave it be!

Kim

hmmm, I don't think it would hurt to call her. But do what ever makes you feel comfortable. Its not necessary to call her as you said because you already have made contact with the correct people and gotten an interview. But it can provide you with some further information and answers to questions that have popped into your mind since your interview. Its never a bad thing to stay in someone's mind while a decision is being made, as long as your not obnoxious about it.

And by obnoxious I mean calling every day and asking if a decision has been made, not following up with someone else in the company to get a better feel for the company. Yup, people do that, and I have never hired a one.

I actually sent a "thank you" email yesterday!!! I wasn't sure if that was appropriate or not. I know that their agents always call their clients the hotel the day of check in just to make sure everything is going well and to tell them to call during their trip if they need ANYTHING at all-I thought that was a nice "touch". I figured if they follow up with all their clients then I should do the same after spending 45 minutes on the phone!!
So I should call her?

Kim

I don't know, all I am saying is that I don't think you would be overbearing to call her as she wasn't the one doing the interview and she offered her availability if you wanted to call. If you feel funny about it, it won't hurt you to not call either.
