::MickeyMo Anyone have any suggestions for how to spend NYE there? I am staying at the Hilton near Pleasure Island and arriving the morning of the 31st with my gf. Suggestions on where to eat etc. Is Pleasure Island worth doing that night? Thanks all. :earseek:

Welcome to the DIS, Todd1one. I'm glad you found us and I hope you can visit often.

I've never toured WDW on NYE so I can't offer advice on this topic but I'll bump this back to the top of the list for you so that some of our veterans can share their NYE expertise with you.

Pleasure Island is a hard ticket event that night:

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Downtown Disney Pleasure Island will be alive with a giant New Year's Eve street party counting down to 2004 with Blondie, Sugar Hill Gang and Jeff Kashiwa.

The 8 p.m.-2 a.m. event also will feature delectable desserts, salty snacks, a champagne toast and a spectacular midnight fireworks display plus eight nightclubs with a variety of themed entertainment.

Tickets are $79 plus tax and are available through disneyworld.com or by calling 407/W-DISNEY. Guests must be 21 or older.

I guess it would be worth it if you liked those bands. It appears that they cut back on the food from previous years. I recalled hearing about some great buffets on NYE.

Your other option is to go to Epcot for NYE. It's a blast and it doesn't close early like other parks do. If you're going to be around earlier, you can also got to MGM. They will be showing Sorcery In The Sky that night which is only shown a couple of times a year.
