Yay, it's Grim!!!!!!!

But you disappoint me! At least let it be from a badger bite!!:rotfl:

(Artman, our Grim pirate: has a, uh, fascination, with those creatures. Especially the dancing kind!)

Or maybe he meant a hedgeHOG accident! Grim, hasn't Dede told you to stop trimming your hedgehog! OMG where's Nan when we need her! ROFL!

Artman, if you want to know the trimming story, have Claudia PM me!

no more, let the bushes grow and be free....

is this ever going to die????

Fire officials said a wildfire burning in the Santa Cruz Mountains has grown to about 3,000 acres. The fire is expected to grow to 10,000 acres.

More than 500 firefighters are on the scene of the blazing working to contain the fire.

At least four firefighting helicopters and four air tankers are on the scene battling the blaze

friend of a friend, Ian lost his house and 2 of his dogs. very sad news to come home to.

Happy Memorial Day to all.

By the way. We had our States Roller Skating Championship today. I am extremely proud to announce. ta da
I got 1st place in my event :cheer2:
In a few weeks we will have regionals & Colleen will be my private photographer.

wonderful news congrats!!!

Absolutely!

Welcome home~

I'll scan the pictures soon and email them to you. I hope it's an easy fix. Paul will be so happy and then not mad at me for going out and playing with my friends. yes I wandered around the ship without my family many a day...

Chad and Louise were in Cabo, and they LOVED it.

Now why the heck would you get Wilson a fart machine to bring on the cruise??:rotfl2: Did he use it? Any funny stories to tell?

where did they stay, I'm in charge of planning the next trip ya know.

Wilson is 8 now, need I say more about a fart machine and an eight year old boy?

Nan
Please Don't Leave Us. Didn't You Tell Colleen Not To Leave.

Glad You Had A Great Time. I Am Jealous You Know.

Paul just heckled me, did ya cancel yet? nope and I'm sad about cancelling too...who knows maybe the house will sell and I'll find a money tree in our backyard. PIF is in October, so no need to deal with it until then. I did also rebook on board. A 4 day for one over my bday. Just a dummy date. Looking to 2010, Toyko...

No, and that's all I'm gonna say!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Nan, how's mom doing?

I haven't talked to her since I've been home, but Lee (sis) says she is declining alot. She is just getting so forgetful. She can't figure out her ATM anymore so she goes into the bank to make a cash withdrawl and for the first time she debited it from my account (her name is on it from long ago when I bought my house, before I was married). I guess it's time to close that account, or she could overdraw me and not know it... Little issues like that are coming up. We are plotting to get rid of her car sooner than later. She is giving it up for sure in August on her bday, she won't renew her license but she needs to not drive now.

thanks for asking, I know you didn't expect all this blabbering.okay I bet you did.

Good morning, cruisers

We finally got our tax refund, so today I'm going to pay off my two credit cards in full, and then do this::banana:

I splurged and booked the WL for Christmas, so I'm gong to pay that with the tax rebate which we won't be getting until July. Now I just have to be careful with my spending. Wish me luck!

I tried to get Jesse to get a haircut yesterday, but he really wants to grow his hair, so I gave in and said as long as he keeps it neat. Here's the progress:
005.jpg

I can't believe the cruise is almost only 6 months away. So far, it's been 18 months since I booked, and the time went by so fast.

Cory still hasn't gotten his passport, so I'm bugging my brother to get it done. I'm so glad I got the plane tickets done, because the fares have already gone up so much, it's insane, but expected with the high cost of fuel. I jut have to decide on transportation to the port and back to the airport.

So how's everyone this morning?

Good Morning....I'm back! Had a FABULOUS time - loved seeing everyone!!!!
Congrats Jill - that is SOOOO awesome!

Welcome Home Nan~

Aisling - Jesse looks very handsome with his longer hair style....he doesn't appear to be one to let it go all straggly....

gotta go - will finish catching up later....

btw - fire is FINALLY 100% contained as of this a.m.'s news (not out but at least under control)....whew!!! & the tornadoes that ripped Parkersburg Iowa apart were about an hour & half from where i was, but how very devastating....geesh - what's happening in this world of ours?

Welcome home, Brenda. I was thinking of you when I saw the Iowa tornado on TV. They're saying it was an F-5, the strongest kind! I'm sorry for the people who were devastated, but I'm SO happy it didn't affect where you were!

How's the training walk for Breast Cancer Awareness doing? I never mentioned this, but I think you'd be interested that a few weeks ago Jesse and his girlfriend Gabi did the Revlon walk here in the city, starting at Times Square and ending at Central Park. There were over 50,000 participants. It was so cute when he came home wearing a t shirt that said Save The Tatas! I was really proud of him and Gabi. He also came home with a Revlon gift bag with a few cosmetics, and now I'm wearing Revlon pink lip gloss!

I just ordered two tickets for Jesse and I to see Tom Jones at the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey on August 1st. I booked a room in the hotel for the night, since it's a 3 hour drive. Chad and Louise will be back from Universal, and Chad said they'll come, too, to do the sights and casino, since we have 2 queen beds in the room. AND to sweeten it, Chad said Louise may be able to get a complimentary room there, since she's sort of a regular there. If so, I'll cancel and have her book our free room for the night. I asked Mel if he wants to come, we'll just bring an air mattress for Jesse, but that's tennis tournament time, and he's looking forward to that.

So I get to squeeze that into my "What to do before the cruise" list, as well as Lou's brother's wedding. She and Chad are in the wedding party.

Cute little story about the wedding: it's going to be a big, fancy affair, and no kids are invited except for the flower girls (4 of them!), and so Jesse isn't invited. Also not invited is a classmate/friend of his who's family is very close to Lou's family. So the two of them are feigning insult and saying they're going to have their own shindig that night out of (pretend) spite! <Lou, if you're reading, I'm talking about Cassandra! LOL.>

OK, I'm yapping too much today, so I'll give someone else a chance!

BBL!

Hi everyone, welcome home to all that have been travelling. Does everyone have a life except me?

My constant whining has finally paid off! I changed our flights last night from the 26th to the 22nd, so we will be at WDW for Christmas. Now a whole new level of planning can begin.

ahhh - thx for thinking of me - yeah that was the 1st f-5 in 30 yrs - the devastation was HORRIBLE....with all of that - the 7 deaths is amazingly low...it could have been hundreds.....

ARTMAN......WOW - i've been whining (& threatening) DH for over a year about not going with DS & I; he hasn't given in yet...what's the secret? what'd you promise them??????????????????

PS - this friday, i'm released back to the gym & my walking routine..so now i gotta make for 6 wks lost time....means walking morning & night to get caught up to where i need to be which is 45 miles for next week's wkly total...it's doable - i feel like i'm still in good shape....but i'm going to spread it out over 6 days - 2X a day so only 4 miles each walk or 8 each day...this is more for feet conditioning than anything else!

that is great that Jesse & Gabi did the Revlon walk! and nice you got the goodie bag!!!

It wasn't that tough, they love WDW nearly as much as I do. I did however have to let Claudia pick the resort - Beach Club :scared1: . I was thinking more along the lines of Port Orleans, but hey I think we both won. It will be great for Owen as well, like most 8yo's one of his favorite parts of vacation is the pool.
