My crew should be joining Mom on the 26th (I'm waiting on Southwest to publish December before I cave in and purchase airfare.)

What time are Chad and Lou flying in?

Early, they leave at 6 am and arrive at 8:30 am. Why can't they just drive down with mom?

They asked to be home for Christmas and fly down the day before the cruise.

Early makes sense...I hated it when I did it going to Cali, but loved how much daylight we had to play in when we got to Nan's by noon.

Jill, you're probably nite nite by now, but what are you doing Christmas day? Think about spending some time with us, we're like family, ya know. I was thinking of having a little Christmas party in our room at the WL...we have the Jr. suite booked, so it's two rooms, and Club level, so the concierge can provide us with drinks and munchies. I'd love for Anjelica and family, Brenda, Ryan, and friends, and Artman and family to come, too. And any of our cruise friends who'll be in WDW at that time. This would be on the 26th, since Chad and Louise won't be arriving till then. Anyone interested?

I forget when Debbie's going down and where she's staying. We're going to need a master list for where we're all staying pre-cruise and dates.

Put me down as interested!!!! The parks are going to be crazy Xmas day and the day after so a nice relaxing night before the cruise at the hotel would be great.

Asling - forgot to add I do tourguidemike to so great minds must think alike.

Tigger - sounds like Mika is doing ok? I can't imagine losing your baby to soon. Right before we left on vacation we had a scare that didn't get resolved till we got back as our bigger Siberian Husky was having some liver issues. They had to do an all day liver test when we got back but luckily he is ok. However I didn't realize that liver disease is one of the leading causes of death in older dogs. He now is permanently on liver medicine.

Well, it looks like we have the making of a lovely gathering together. I've already contacted the WL concierge for what they can do to help this happen properly.

And yes, I think Tour Guide Mike is da bomb. He knows his stuff, that's for sure.

Edited to add: Anjelica, as we get closer to cruise time, maybe we can get a list going of where we're all staying pre-cruise, for those who want to give that information.

Poor Nan has walking pneumonia!

(I'm still reading her cruise thread ;) )

thank you and you are making it easier for me to not have to double post...

Yikes! Poor Nan! She needs a REST! Nan are you listening??

I'm home now, and have called myself out for the next 2 performances, it was great to see her but I'm completely wiped out, so staying home for the next few days in bed. nite nite.

Tig, good luck with the possible photography job today!

Anjelica, according to the doctor, Mika is doing great :woohoo:

How old is your husky? (It stinks getting old no matter who you are huh?)

You are welcome Nan, make sure you get some rest~

Aisling, the photog job is already a definite! :woohoo:

I got the name of the goto person off MySpace - she loved my work and hired me already. I go to the meeting to see exactly what, when, where and who I get to take pictures of~

Shay - our big one - is 12 years old in June.

Ohhhh - you know we would be there in a heartbeat....but we don't arrive till 9:21 pm the evening of the 26th....however i will mention it to Rus & stop by & meet everyone! We are all staying at the Embassy Suites at MCO...

Colleen - CONGRATS on the musikfest op! that is an awesome opportunity so really hope it works out for you!!!!

OK

I just got back from my meeting, John and I hafta talk about this...I can do any day I want and work the festival with a press pass that includes the main act every night!

http://www.musikfest.org/

It's too far to work every day (an hourandahalf drive.) I want to combine some days and make at least one of them a "weekend" with the DH. He works six days a week now so getting him to take off is gonna be a challenge  ;) :)

Right now I'm leaning towards Fri/Sat/Tue/Fri & Sat
Which means: Avril Levigne, Collective Soul, Live, Led Zeppelin, Dennis DeYoung (Styx), Citizen Cope, Roseanne Cash, Lonestar, Diamond Rio and Stone Temple Pilots!

How cool is that

ETA: no, it doesn't pay. It pays in recognition and experience ;)

I have been lurking via the DH. He keeps me updated, but boy you really get behind in your reading after a few days.

Claudia....just come with us!!!!! TRUST me ~ i'm a shopper!!!! Shop till ya drop????....haven't dropped yet~
This might be a must do for me as artie might not want to do the same level of shopping as me.::yes::

Claudia, I was thinking, we're only going to need one formal dress for the cruise. When there's a holiday, they put formal night on the night of the holiday, so we can be guaranteed that formal night will be on New Year's Eve. And just something dressy but not necessarily "formal" for Palo dinner, if you choose to do Palo.

I had a dream about Jack Sparrow last night.

This is great news, although I really love the dress I got but I'm not sure it's NYEish enough and may be better for a Palo night. How much luggage are we going to need??!!:scared1:

There are so many great dress shops where I live! I've definitely decided to wear a short dress for formal night, because showing some leg will add the illusion of height, which I need!

Count us in. That sounds like a lot of fun. I can't wait to meet everyone. The Artman is soooo happy he has gotten his own way and we are going early.:cloud9: I hope everyone is happy with the Beach Club. We haven't been there before but we love the boardwalk area and the pool looks awesome.

Aisling, as soon as I get a chance I'll post a photo of my dress and shoes. Let me know what you think. I may not be done shopping just yet.:lovestruc

Upgrading your outfit might be as simple as adding a sparkly wrap :scratchin

I double dutied my formal outfit last cruise. It was a black dress at Palo with a red sequined jacket over it for formal night~

Gold is *the* color this year!

Oh.....your done. We spent all of our money on fashionable man clothes :clown:

You will look good by association. ;)

Orlando police are at Universal Studios this morning after reports of a black bear taking a dip in the pool of the Hard Rock Hotel.

Officers were first told of the incident at 4:13 a.m., after a security guard spotted the bear on a security screen. Reports show that the bear finished its morning dip and is now roaming the hotel's property. The Hard Rock Hotel is located at 5601 Universal Blvd.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials are at the popular tourist spot to check out the reports. It is unclear if guests at the hotel have been told of the bear sighting.

Check back for details.
