Well, I did my 45 minutes on the treadmill, and I have to say I felt great afterwards. I'm a very sensory-affected person, probably from working for so many years as a sensory therapist, so I made a music CD of songs from my younger, fitter days, and it strongly put my mind in the zone of my younger self. I was having flashbacks to when I was active in running and yoga, and I liked that me very much. And I promise to do it again tomorrow.

Nan, I was thinking about what you said about Molly gaining weight. I was always thin as a child, until I hit puberty, when I became chubby for no apparant reason. But after I "became a young woman", and my hormones leveled out, I naturally lost all the extra weight. By 13 I was as slim as before, but with some new curves thrown in. I stayed slim until a few years after I had Jesse. So of course get her active, but keep in mind it may just be hormonal at her age.

Claudia, from your photo, you look lovely, a very nice womanly size with no excesses that can be seen. If I could look like you, I'd be a very happy Aisling.

Just for fun, how do you all pronounce my name? I know Nan, Grim, Brenda, jill and Tig know, but I've had my name pronounced so many different ways, I'm curious!
Don't worry, no points taken off for incorrect pronounciations!

Hey Nan... this is actually a fertility clinic that I go to... They monitor me the whole way, so I found out very early on that it wasnt progressing normally. I am not sure why she waited to run additional tests. I was thinking, man... they must be very invassive and painful and that is why they put them off. NOPE.. its bloodwork. the blood I have given them, its like there is a pipeline running from my arm into the tubes. Seriously... in all the times they tested my blood, they could have run some extra tests and had this information MONTHS ago.

I do hope they find its something treatable. In the event it is not, I have been looking into adoption. My dad's dad was adopted.. and so I dont think our family would put any stigmatizm on that.. Just worried that w/the s. kids that an adoption would not be as accepted as a birth would be.. Ya know?

Did your friend eventually have kids?

Kaz, I totally have decided this is the summer of me.. seeing as how its not working out right now. I am going to take back my "power" over my body and lose that weight I put on from having the pity party. I need to do something, I thought.. god.. if I put on weight from this miscarriage I am going to border on obese or morbidly so.

Yes, the tests I was referring to at the early stage are mearly blood tests to see if the hormone levels are correctly progressing. But these should be done after the first loss, not the 3rd. And with my friend she found it to be easily treated with medication. She suffered 3 losses total, 2 miscarriages and one lost of a twin, but now had 2 wonderful kids. My other friend used the same doctor and was hand walked thru an older pregnancy. (40+) she also had a few lost too. I hope that you are not afraid to ask for whatever you need from your provider and that you talk with lots of other women because the support from friends can be what gets us thru.

hey baby, I hope that for Molly this is just a spurt, but it hasn't been good for her. Growing too fast with her fair skin, bad stretch marks on her thighs. She is very self concience of them. :worried: That unfortunately won't go away as she grows tall again.

And for the record I still can't pronouce your name correctly ;)

Ok, here is my guess......Rump-el-stilt-skin. Do I get to keep my child?

Claudia and I had talked about this before, we had come up with the quite obvious A's-Ling.

And for the record I still can't pronouce your name correctly ;)

Given Nan's response, it must be something slightly more exotic, so I will go with Ash-Lean. I am racking my limited brain capacity, and I think there used to be a reporter in Halifax that had the same name.

However I'm hopping that Rumpelstiltskin sticks. :lmao:

Just wanted to stop in and say a quick HI, heading on vacation tomorrow - a trip to Branson, MO and then to St. Louis for a family reunion. I might give my hand at the weight loss, done WW in past, I can usually lose 10 - 20 pounds and then become stuck. I could lose 60, but will be happy with 10 or 15 before December. Got myself a bike last year, and lost 10, and thus far have kept that off. I would just like another 10 this summer, and next and next and next!! Take care all, will stop in when I return.

Please don't call me Rumple!:rotfl2: Only because somehow it fits me!:rotfl:

Artman, in the eastern counties of Ireland, you'd be correct with Ash-lean. In the west, it's pronounced Ash-ling, and that's me.:goodvibes Gold star for you!

Tig, good luck at the job fair!

Robin, wishing you a wonderful vacation! I'm not a fan of country music, but I've always wanted to go to Branson for the Americana feel I've heard it has.

So are everyone's kids out of school for the summer yet?

We are not country music fans either, but since the reunion is in St. Louis, we decided to try Branson for a few days. I am hoping it is not all "country".

Three cheers for me, a gold star. I haven't got one of those since grade 3, even then I'm not so sure it was well deserved. :bitelip:

I'm sure that the Rumple handle is not fitting for you. I just couldn't resist when you posted the question.

However if you want to play along, you could print out this nametag and wear it on the cruise.

If you promise to wear it I will have Claudia start looking for my Gold Lame' suit.

Hey Aisling..

I have mentally been saying it wrong. Also, I didnt realize that was your name!! lol.. I guess I thought it was your last name or a nickname!

Thank you for the correction!! :)

We-ell, I've always assumed it was Ay-lean (rhyming with May Queen) as I have a friend who spells her name somewhat similar and pronounces it thus... So there. I shall modify my mental nomenclature accordingly... ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

The job fair was a bust...alot of entry level stuff, no real jobs

I grabbed a couple names tho - one for the Camden Adventure Aquarium and one for the NJ dept of corrections/admin positions, no prison guard for me thank you.

Artman, you should take care on what you wish. :dancer:
