NYE completely full villas?

Can it be possible that every single studio and 1bdrm villa is booked for New Years Eve? I have 2 waitlist requests in (BWV&PVB) and I’m stalking all availability. For weeks now. Already had a waitlist come thru for 1/1-1/3 but wanted to add NYE.
Anyone ever have luck getting 12/31 DVC res?

NYE books more quickly than any other night of the year. Anything not gobbled up during the home resort priority booking period disappears within seconds at 7 months (on May 31).

There's still time for a waitlist or stalking to work, although I suspect many others also have waitlists in place and are stalking. Good luck - hope it works out for you.

I stalked NYE twice and the only room that I saw come up was 1 bedroom at SSR. I was stalking at 2 months out, so you might have more options.

Decided to purchase a CBR room, and hope timing works out to cancel it when a waitlist fills. Better safe than sorry…

That would be us - have a 'safety net' for a sure resort reservation, but hold out hope for an opening you want at another resort to complete your reservation. NYE seems like it could be a very tough get at this point, but things happen and people cancel....! Good luck. If not, you'll bring in the New Year from CBR!

When did you try to book? I would imagine that most DVC owners who really wanted this night would have tried to book NYE by the end of February. Those who wished to change resort would have been ready to do so on 31st May.

I would assume that it wasn't just possible but very probable that all rooms for a very popular time of year would be gone nearly 4 weeks after it opened for everyone to book! I wish you luck getting your waitlist, but I don't think it takes luck to book it.

Was online at 7 month mark for 12/31. Was lucky my waitlist for 1/1-1/3 came through! (at my home resort, BLT, which was all booked up before 7 months. 1bdrm did come thru for which we’re happy!) Trouble is, I’m trying to please everyone by booking certain locations, and this trip was not planned months ago, AND we only have limited pts! Certainly learned my Holiday Booking Lesson

According to the DVC field guide, the hardest weeks to book historically are:

1.Thanksgiving
2.New years
3.Weeks 49-50
4.Halloween

Weeks with the most 7 day availability are weeks 30-31
