NYC to Canada July 8, 2012: Its Magic, Eh?

Hi Folks,
We did the Magic trip up to Canada in early June, glad we had a sweater!

When we stopped in Halifax, there is a farmers market building you can walk to from the ship.

While exploring the market, we met Andrea, She had her Disney gear on...
We stopped and chatted.. she was so very nice, and a true Disney fan.
She is located on the main floor of the Market, in the middle ish!

We did not purchase anything, But we did leave her with our LE DVC pin for her lanyard... She was just that nice.... There is also free Wifi...

Our Favorite Excursion was Peggy's cove and Titanic Graveyard.
We had Ellen as the tour guide, She was Fantastic .....

We've been chatting for a few months, but never discussed actually meeting on the ship. Is that something we want to do? Perhaps Monday morning at 10:00? Maybe the Promenade Lounge or Topsiders?
Any other suggestions or ideas?

Andy and I would be up for a meet and greet. Just tell us where. We can't wait to meet everyone!! Thanks again to all of you who have added us to the fish extender list. We really appreciate the warm welcome and extra pixie dust. See you in a week.

According to the Navigators that have been posted, it looks like there may be an event scheduled in the Promenade Lounge so should we meet at Topsiders instead? Or does anyone else have a suggestion for a place that could accommodate our group?

I'm pretty sure you can make a cash exchange onboard if you decide not to do that ahead of time.

We contacted our bank and plan on using our visa debit card. They wil take care of the conversion.

Awesome! We're in 6601, midship inside. Trying to keep the cost down, since we have to fly to NYC. Yep, we're Floridians flying to NYC to cruise on Disney, lol. But, we love NYC, so we get to bookend our cruise with weekends in NYC. What could be better? Take in some shows, dinner at Uncle Jack's, some touristy stuff...and shopping!!! It will be thirtyahemth birthday during the cruise, so reason to celebrate!

So I finished my FE goody bags. And one item keeps coming apart. So now I'm trying to find a strong adhesive to keep it together. I also just started making our FE. I followed directions I found online, so I assume it's a fairly standard size. And some of my goody bags won't fit in the pockets. I guess I have to take them apart. Urrggghhh! This FE thing is an adventure!!

I'm very excited to be counting down! See you all in 4 days!!

It is close now! And still not packed. Looking forward to meeting you all on the ship at some point. It has been a lot of fun reading the messages here. You area great group of folks. We have changed our cabins to 7088, 7090 and 7092. I was playing it safe with a porthole for the little kids but they all became adventurous and asked for a switch to rooms with a veranda. And luckily they had 3 in a row as before.

Just called DCL and added the value photo package to our reservation. Used Disney gift cards that I bought at Target with my REDcard which means in essence I got 5% off the package!
