NYC to Canada July 8, 2012: Its Magic, Eh?

It wasn't on the ship. Perhaps just for the inaugural sailing? I did buy the photo her with the bumper sticker in Shutters. It was $5 but I thought nice to have.

Good to know! I don't feel as bad for missing it now, lol!

So, what were the highlights of everyone's cruises?

Mine were:

• Palo High Tea (Thank you Bill!)
• Watching DD meet the characters
• DD meeting Stitch, he's her FAVORITE!
• Our Dining Team

We all had a great time on the cruise! I have to say my personal 2 favorites was the Disney horn and the funnel vision. Unfortunately, our two servers were awful! Too many issues to list. Made comments to the head waiter on Tuesday and it just got worse. Our favorite was that the servers basically told us that we had to put excellent on the comment cards. Yeah, no not so much.

Just got back last night! Stayed in NYC for 3 days. Had a great cruise. Excellant servers, thought the food was great. Enjoyed both Halifax and Saint John. My DS 13 did not enjoy the Edge much did not connect with any other kids, so we hung out alot which was fine. The fog on Pirate night was something else! Overall we have no complaints!

We felt the same way. It was an amazing cruise. Looking at all the photos is making us homesick for the Magic and its crew. The children's interactions with the characters and princesses were superb. It really warmed my heart. Disney does it right. The whole cruise was exciting and calm at the same time. No rudeness or anything negative like that, that I saw. Just a lot of politeness and parents watching over their children and their behavior. And would even like to return to St. John and Halifax someday to see more of this lovely cities. Hope that everyone that visited NYC for a day or more had a great time there. Take care everyone!

We had a great time, too! Loved the cruise. Halifax and Saint John were both really fun. I could've easily spent more time exploring both, so that is the mark of a good port stop, I'd say! We had a good serving team, Plamen and Johnathan, so that was nice. I'm sorry the previous poster didn't have a good team. That can really make things difficult. Stateroom hostess Jerryl was great!

We spent some time in NYC before the trip and visited Niagara Falls after the cruise. Great times had by all! Still trying to get rid of my sea legs though...if I stand up to fast, whoo!!!!

My highlights were: Disney Dreams show...I just love this one! Gets me all teary eyed, every time! Statue of Liberty Minnie! I'm such a nerd, but that was cool. Also, Avengers after Pirate Night was fun! Packed house, surprisingly. Seemed like some had never seen it, so that was cool (though, really, were you people under a rock???).

Oh, I loved being able to see Brave on board as well. Another great Disney/Pixar movie!

So great to hear that most of us all had a fabulous time! We had great servers and a great stateroom host! Our server was from the Philippines and we had mentioned that we enjoyed a traditional Philipino dish and the next night it was served to us! Absolute MAGIC! We actually ran into our server from our first trip on the Magic, Orlan....which was totally cool too! He has been on the Magic for 13 years! Someone mentioned Jerryl in an earlier post here and if I am not mistaken, she was our stateroom host in the past too!

My favorite moment has to be the 2 1/2 hours spent in the spa villa with a couples hot stone and Swedish massage, private balcony with jacuzzi and outdoor shower and canopy bed. They served us tea, fresh fruit and did a foot soak/scrub ritual! Aaahhh, heaven!

We too were missing some FE gift/s. I have heard about people forgetting them at home so I'd rather believe that over the stealing scenario. With the majority of us saying we were missing some, I think that is what happened. I was on one trip where the FE gift was an ornament from the island we had visited earlier that day so my guess was they forgot and did some impromptu shopping and delivering!

I have been on the Magic 3xs and the Wonder 1x so I really would like to do the Fantasy or the Dream next!

Sorry not to have met any of you, but I am sure our paths crossed. I do believe I crossed paths with Maura, her mom and Zoe once outside rocking bar d....there were three people who fit the bill of grandma, mom and teenage girl! They were each sitting in port hole window.... Any chance that was you taximom?

Not sure if it was us....I don't know that my mom was sitting in a porthole! Though Zoe and I were!! Zoe is Chinese...I am not, if that helps!

I'm trying to figure out how to post a picture of our FE...before it was hanging by our door...Zoe made me take a picture of her beside everyone's FE when we delivered...but we forgot to take a picture of her in front of ours We luckily remembered to take a picture of our door, though!

If anyone knows how to post a picture, let me know. I'd prefer not to do the whole photo bucket thing....

We also loved our servers though we had different ones the first night as we switched from late to early dining. I was happy to see that guest services put two different coupons for them for tips...I was trying to figure out how to make that work. Good to know they've got it covered! As for switching, it's good to know that it can, indeed, be done if you aren't happy with your time. Jose in the MDR was so helpful!

Our stateroom always looked great though we only saw our host the first night...guess that's a good sign that all is well! He gave us new bath products every day which Zoe loved...she brought a stash home! Truth be told, while I know people rave about them, the shampoo coupled with the soft water really didn't love my curly/frizzy hair!

I drove past Michael's the other day and had the urge to go in to buy stuff to create FE gifts....alas, I then remembered I don't yet have a cruise date set!

BTW, whoever made the Tinkerbelle necklaces, Zoe and my mom loved them! They were thrilled to be 'twins' one day
