Nutritional Info?

Is there any resource out there that publishes the nutritional info for the various Disney food offerings?

1) Except for BoG, no nutritional data.
2) Disney does not publish such, even when you are there.
. . . menu items change too often
. . . people might not order if they saw how much sodium and sugar *

* As a long time restaurateur, I can say that a lot of "average" level
meats are made to taste better by infusion of sodium and sugar. One
would not believe the amount of such both infused and/or added to sauces.

Unfortunately, no. What Rusty posted above is pretty much exactly what WDW told me - the menus and items change too frequently, chefs do not measure exact portions, etc.

What you can ask for is the "allergy binder" at any of the QS restaurants. You should look over the ingredients carefully if you're watching sodium, carbs, etc. You can always leave a bun off or ask for something with no sauce if calories or carbs are your concern. At TS restaurants, you can ask to speak with a chef prior to ordering who should be able to help you get something appropriate (ie: low sodium, lower carb, etc.). I had success with both QS and TS restaurants on our last visit as far as helping me eat within my dietary requirements.

No, Disney doesn't publish it. They did publish it for Be Our Guest, but not anywhere else.

Why did they publish it for BOG but nowhere else? I'm confused. I was all excited when I saw it for BOG, but then looked for other places and nothing. Any insider info on why? Seems really odd that they'd do one place without plans to eventually do the rest?

My guess is that Disney will slowly roll out full nutritional info for all restaurants, but it will be a process. Understand that I have ZERO inside knowledge; this is just a hunch. But between BOG and the new Mickey Check, I think this is the direction they're going. If this is something you want to see, please contact Guest Relations and let them know you're thrilled that info is available for BOG and hope to see it everywhere soon.

Good point, I'll mention it. I've heard that now that places like McD's are offering nutritional info, people are eating MORE bad stuff - places were worried people would eat less food, but they actually think they're eating healthy when they can see it, as screwed up as that sounds. So it certainly doesn't seem that it's hurting business to advertise the "unhealthiness" of things. For those of us really interested in keeping track, it's really helpful to know what we're eating! Or, how much time I need to spend on the elliptical at the resort before I venture to dinner. :)

And, for some of us, this information is essential for health reasons. A list of ingredients can help you make an educated guess in some instances, but it's not the same as having the full nutritional information available.

Call me crazy, but isn't it required by law that they have postings on nutritional information? Its why even fast food places have to have it posted somewhere.:confused3

It's only law in a few states & Florida isn't one of them :tinker:

The one that's included in obamacare only applies to chains with more then 20 restaurants :tinker:

Since I became a cardiac patient, I speak with the chef before ordering most of my meals at WDW. They don't quote me grams of saturated fat, but when I tell them what I need, they are more than happy to explain which menu items are and are not good choices, often how they can be modified to suit my needs, and sometimes they will make me an entirely off-menu dish.

The latter have been some of the best meals I've had at WDW.
