My DD is 3 and LOVES to be the center of attention (and parades)....do you think that she is too young for that or do they just march around the lobby where you can see them? I'd love for her to participate if she can - or AVOID the lobby at that time if she can't!

Not too young at all. Kids all different ages can do it. They meet up over at the market, get the instruments and a CM marches them around the lobby. Sounds like she'd have a blast.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the two types of savanna views at AKL? We are booked for aug5-10 2013 in a pool room but I'm thinking of upgrading

I was supposed to be taxiing down the runway on my way to AKV in 12 hours, but I decided to cancel last night. I procrastinated getting many things that needed to be done around the house and came down with a nasty cold this past week. Oddly, the thought of being in Disney was too stressful knowing so much could be done at home. It was a last minute trip anyways, my Southwest airfare can be used within a year, and I can still try to rent my DVC points. I was looking forward to the warmer weather and enjoying the savanna view, but my house and garden will appreciate a good spring cleaning!

I'm so sorry! Whole family got a cold this week too. Luckily we don't leave until Wednesday (sad to be happy to get a cold in advance) but traveling sick is misery. Hope you fell better soon and feel free to come meet us this weekend instead!

Was wondering if someone can answer this...

Last year while planning our trip, I read that Saana was offering a limited breakfast buffet. Really more continental, I never made it down there to check. Was this a rumor or was and is it true? We don't mind walking over to Mara, I'm just curious. I don't want to rush our summer, but I am so excited for fall and our trip in October.

Thanks! Still head and chest congestion but definitely feeling better everyday!
No future Disney plans yet, but I did have a dream last night I was in Disneyland and buying a season pass so I could come back within a year--maybe it's a sign!!
And my best friend's daughter turns 1 this week and her birthday party is theme! I've been helping her make a lot of Minnie head and pink decor. We're even making the kids Mickey and Minnie headband ears. Excited to see it all come together!

Good question. I'd like to know too. Maybe someone with actual info about kidani will come along and let us know. But I think this is more of a chat thread than an info thread. Maybe that's what the "lite" means. Lite on information! Lmao

Thanks for the link, it's actually the one I read last Feb. 2012. I if anyone who is going in the next few months could check for updated information, that would be great.

I'm planning on shipping food from Garden Grocer and we will eat at The Mara if need be, so if nothing is ever offered besides their yummy coffee, I'll live. Lol

My husband and boys love to run everywhere so the trip to Mara goes quick

The only way I can tell the difference is that the "chat" thread is on the Community Board and the title starts with "Here it is......"

I think even Kim gets confused -- that whole situation was stressful and I think she did the best she could, given the circumstances.

Perhaps she could change the titles -- Get "Lite" out of this thread's title and change the other one to something like "Chatting about our shared love of AKL and lots of other things!"
