My kids have loved the medallion rubbing (can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as they want to color) and the cookie decorating. They also like to walk in the primal parade while we watch and enjoy a glass of wine in the lobby.

I have never noticed the wine tasting before but I'll have to add that to our to do list.

My DD is 3 and LOVES to be the center of attention (and parades)....do you think that she is too young for that or do they just march around the lobby where you can see them? I'd love for her to participate if she can - or AVOID the lobby at that time if she can't!

....WDW really screwed up - I got my M.E. package in the mail yesterday and it was for the luggage tags for AKL arriving on the 7th, along with the M.E. vouchers....trouble is, I'm arriving on the 5th, and our destination is ASMu!, so we'll already BE at WDW by the 7th!!

That happens to us whenever we do split stays, I guess the computer system can't decipher the difference between checking into your first hotel and the next one. One year it was a pain because when we were checking in at DME the CM told me that we didn't have a reservation for the ride back to the airport. I spent a lot of time on the phone getting that cleared up and when we got home I realized that the reservation was included in our second packet. I now carry both just to be safe.

If you don't have the correct ME tags don't use them!!! Just keep out your stickers they give you at the airport when you check your bags. Give them to the ME CM when you check in for your Motor Coach and they will get your bags from baggage claim.

In January we only had 4 tags but 5 bags. I gave them the claim ticket & my 5th bag arrived at AKL with the other 4.

Your DD is not too young for the Parade. They march around the lobby, following the CM, chanting and using wooden instruments. It's lots of fun for the kids and so much fun for the adults to watch! Make sure you have your camera/video ready!!




Kim - your ASMU package (the one you need) will arrive Saturday! It will be waiting for you when you return home!!

Staying DVC Savanah studio (rented points), not sure which building. Staying October 18-26th. We stayed last year at Kidani for a split stay and loved it almost as much as Jambo. If I could be added to the list to please . Thanks!

freaking out, over my first trip to AKL. We normally stay at a value or mod and have always wanted to stay at AKL, well I get my dream in August and now have lost my mind over all the things I want to do to make sure we have a great trip! We did not get to go to Disney last year and now I feel like I have so much to catch up on!
So I willing to take any advice or tips!!

I was supposed to be taxiing down the runway on my way to AKV in 12 hours, but I decided to cancel last night. I procrastinated getting many things that needed to be done around the house and came down with a nasty cold this past week. Oddly, the thought of being in Disney was too stressful knowing so much could be done at home. It was a last minute trip anyways, my Southwest airfare can be used within a year, and I can still try to rent my DVC points. I was looking forward to the warmer weather and enjoying the savanna view, but my house and garden will appreciate a good spring cleaning!

Thank you!! This helps out greatly!! They're always adding new things to do and with all the times we've stayed there, there are still things we haven't done! This trip, I've planned on some downtime at the resort, just for this reason!!

Hi all!! Could we be added to the list? We just got it worked out to stay on rented points at AKV Kidani in a Savannah view studio June 2-9!! We visited AKL to eat a Boma last trip and fell in love. We never thought Savannah view would be in the buget, but thanks to renting DVC, we can do it for about the same as a moderate!

i have been busy looking for "extra stuff" to do. Since we usually do weekend trips, we don't hang out alot but since I have 6 whole days, I am going to try and do some of the resort offerings...plus waterparks and putt putt
