Now where is my stroller

We got some of those glow bracelets for the kids at the dollar store and we put a few on the handle of our stroller at night. Made it super easy to find in the dark.

At some point, you have to decide what convenience is worth leaving out in the open, and what it too valuable to tempt others.

From reading this thread, it appears that these must be THE most controversial, cutting edge, CM taunting, seizure-inducing, sticky-fingered guest-tempting devices ever created. The only thing they won't do is choke a hungry peacock.

It's just LED lights, for cryin' out loud.

If you want to try 'em... try 'em.
And then, let us know.

(My wife might want to clip 'em to my hat so she won't lose me in the crowds!) ;)

I have to respectfully disagree. It's just LED lights until you or someone you know and love has traumatic life threatening seizures from them. This is not something this person must use in the parks. As others have suggested simply tying a brightly colored scarf or something of that matter would work.

We always buy a Mickey balloon and tie it to our handle. Easy to spot. Glow sticks for after dark. An LED light seems like overkill, but that's just me.

I used a scarf and glow sticks when we needed strollers. It's been a gazillion years since then though and I have always thought that worked just fine.

Thanks for a good laugh :earsboy:

As someone upthread, those can and do trigger seizures in people with various medical conditions. I personally wouldn't use them. Something that doesn't flash would be better.

I suffered with seizures for years after brain surgery so I agree with certain things can trigger seizures. For me, no lights ever did trigger a seizure but after the surgery, it was difficult for me to see the pulsing lights on any emergency vehicle or school bus. Not the emergency lights but the constant pulsing ones. I certainly couldn't expect those not to be used so I averted my eyes or closed them depending on where I was and what I was doing. I think it took a minute to move on from the situation.

Depending on how tech-savvy you are, you may want to explore the world of "bluetooth trackers" -- small devices that pair with your phone and alert you when you leave or enter their vicinity. Leaving one with your stroller may solve the problem (or may create an additional headache if it fails...). It's worth a quick google search to see if meets your needs. I have the Elgato Smartkey that works pretty well.

I believe on another thread, you've mentioned you'll have a stroller-as-wheelchair tag for your son. If that's the situation, I honestly don't think you'll need the lights to help "find" the stroller because it will be right where you exit the ride vehicle. If you are parking outside in the regular stroller parking, yes you may want to identify it easily, but I'd go with the glow sticks or a string of battery-operated holiday lights -- something more fun.

Enjoy your vacation!

Flashing lights can trigger a migraine for me, but it's usually not a colored light - just the bright white ones. There are certain rides I have to close my eyes on for a bit. Not sure about seizures, but a red blinking light (maybe tucked in on the seat?) would not trigger my migraines - or at least I don't think so? Thank you to those people who try to limit flashing lights :) My main concern would be that a red flashing light means danger - would it cause some kind of security issue in the stroller parking? I wouldn't want to cause a security issue with my stroller :scared:

We had our last name written down the entire side of the stroller in big Sharpie and with a bright purple scarf tied on it one year and it still got taken! Surely it wasn't intentional, but they never noticed it and returned it.

And it does get dark in many places in WDW so I think a light/glow stick is a great idea! Flashing seems annoying, but you said it had the option to not blink. You should use it.

That is true for you, but for some forms of epilepsy they trigger a seizure pretty much instantly, do if you don't know they are coming, there is no chance to protect yourself. I wouldn't expect to see one on the handle of a stroller.

I won't qualify myself as an expert so I will take your word on that but wonder where else in the world that will happen besides Disney World.

I like the glow stick idea. I would use that. But I like the lights too. Glow sticks are cheaper. I made some with ribbons, they worked well, but I would of put glow sticks on them, had I heard of that tip.
