Hi All,
I posted a few weeks back asking about spending the Christmas Holiday at WDW. Although I got a few folks who said don't do it the majority said I should plan everything. Now here's where I am clueless. We usually go when crowds are slim and fly by the seat of our pants. How much do I need to plan? What do I need to prepare? We are going December 23rd-January 4th. I did the new magic your way and purchased our park hopper tickets and our meals. I also get to use the new feature where they will transport my luggage from the airport to my hotel (yahoo...nothing worse than watching bags go around).
Now what? Any help would be appreciated.I am a nervous wreck thinking I have just spent a small fortune and if I don't get things right I will screw up our vacation and holidays.
Thanks all
Dee

Just know that it will be crowded. You may want to book a couple of restaurants especially if you want to eat in one on Christmas or New Years.

If you do book a restaurant on one of those days you need to be in the park if it reaches capcity to be able to get to the restaurant. If they close the park, and you aren't in it, you are out of luck.

You might want to try and see the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. If you do want to do this, I'd book the package (eat in a restaurant and get seat vouchers) so you are guaranteed a seat. It's a wonderful show.

You should try and catch the Christmas parade at MK too.

I'm not sure what else you can plan except decide which park, which day to avoid the worst crowds.

Enjoy your planning!

You may consider investing about $20 in www.tourguidemike.com. While you won't receive a step by step itinerary, you will receive very valuable advice for touring the parks during the very busy times, and of the busy times, Christmas week is the worst! I once went the day after Christmas and there was an hour wait for the monorail from MK to the TTC, and that wasn't even at closing time!

Tour Guide Mike will help you hit the "right" parks on the "right" days and schedule your attractions accordingly. If you find that his service doesn't suit your needs, he will refund your money. I am using it for the first time, and although I have been to Disney many times, there is a lot of advice I didn't know, so it is worth the $20 to me.

Good luck planning your trip!

Ok ok, lets think.

The beauty of peak seasons is the longer hours. So you will have more time to see and do everything, so grab that bench an hour before the parade starts and take a breather.

Make PS's, especially for the more popular places and definately inside the parks. USe them to manipulate your trip. For example, we always eat at Donalds in AK prior to park opening so we miss the gate crowds when the park opens.

Thanks all...
so much to plan before I go my head is spinning...well worth it though.
Thanks
