"Now That's What I'm Talkin' 'Bout!"- Our 1st DVC stay-May 2010-Wrap Up 9/23

Aw, thank you so much. Our son is doing amazingly well for a 26-week preemie; we feel so very blessed. And, thank you for your kinds words about our daughter -- it's cute looking back at those "old" Disney photos now that she's a toddler running around! Your DD's are simply gorgeous; it's so fun reading your TR and imaging what my DD will be like at their ages!

I'm glad to hear that your DS is doing well. Sounds like an amazing little boy! :goodvibes You have so many super fun things to look forward to! We've been fortunate enough to take Josie every year since she was 8 months old and the changes we've seen from year to year is simply amazing. You are going to have a blast with your DD this year. The toddler years are so fun. :goodvibes

Love the parade pictures. I'm glad the lady moved when you asked her. When my boys were little (and short) I was pretty protective of their viewing space as well  No one stands between my boys and their Disney Parade!

Now we are all tall enough to stand in the back and we still enjoy the parades :goodvibes

Looking forward to dinner popcorn::

Yay for your lil' roller coaster junkie ;) That is aweseome! I am glad you got a great spot for the parade---we battled "spot stealers" all trip long! I can not believe that man got out of his cart on BL!!!! :scared1: CRAZY!!!! Looking forward to 1900PF!

Great update Leann! That's so great that she loved Thunder Mountain - it's my youngest daughter, Katie's, favorite ride!

Ugh on the parade spot intruders....I just don't understand some people.:headache:

How scary to hear that a guy got off the BL ride to get his sunglasses! Duh!!

I hate to see a child involved in some kind of accident, or have some kind of health-related emergency at the happiest place on earth. :sad1: I hope she was ok.

Sara

50 minutes for Splash Mountain! Wow! Hunter really doesn't care for Splash Mountain so any time we ride it, we have to make sure we have Fastpasses or he'll try to chicken out of riding.

I love the story behind your title! Little Miss Josie yelling "Now that's what I'm talking about". Too cute!

How cool was it that the McFarlands were chosen to be the Grand Marshalls in the parade! I know that they were tickled pink as were you guys 'cause you knew them.

Wait, I forgot to talk about the rude women. I hate hate hate (did I say hate?) it when somebody tries to push their way into a non-existent spot. I would have had to say something too. As a matter of fact, I have had to say something to a rude guest before. I'm like you....you don't mess with my kids.

I can't believe that somebody actually got off the ride vehicle while on Buzz Lightyear. What in the heck were they thinking? Seriously.

I sure hope that the toddler was okay. It's scary when you see something like that happen.

Great update. :thumbsup2

I love that Josie loved her fist roller coaster ride at Disney! That's so cute how she said what she did.

Parade spot stealers really aggrevate me. :headache: Glad you let them know what was going on.

I think it's so great that the McFarlands got to be grand marshalls in the parade. I'll have to remember to tell my DH.

Congrats on getting in at Kidani! :cool1:

I'm so glad Josie was able to ride the big rides this year! Her anticipation of the big hill on Splash reminds me of Allison--she used to want a warning before the big hill & half the time I would tell her wrong! Poor thing--I'm glad she still wants to ride it!

Big Thunder, a nap, and a shady spot for a parade--sounds like a great time! :goodvibes

Great update!

I'm wondering what the heck the guy was doing on BL in order to lose his stinking glasses? It's not like you are moving quickly or getting bumped around. Geez!

How awful for that poor mom! I would absolutely freak if something like that happened. I'm glad to hear, though, that the little one was trying to sit up. That is reassuring.

So funny to hear that Josie loved BTMRR! I do not like roller coasters at all, but that is one of my favorite rides in the world! I love it!

Thanks so much! Normally, I wouldn't be too territorial but in this case, I wanted to make sure we had a good view of our friends. I don't know that my girls will ever be tall enough to sit in the back though....their Daddy is only 5'6" :lmao:. I'm the amazon at 5'8"

More coming up! :goodvibes

It was fun seeing her light up on the roller coaster. The parades seem to bring out the worst in people for some reason don't they? :confused3

I couldn't believe that guy got out either. It would never even entered my mind to consider it. It was crazy for sure! Probably the same type of guy that would have sued Disney if he had been hurt. :sad2:

Thanks Sara! I think BTMRR was probably Josie's favorite of the week as well.

I hope the little girl was okay as well! It really bothered me to see this little girl sick at Disney. It's not supposed to be that way ya know? :sad2:

It was fun that the McFarland's were chosen to be the marshall's. I have been razzing Jay ever since. I can't believe he didn't think to tell them about his "sister" that was in the MK that day with her family. I mean after all she did sign them up and get the volunteer work coordinated for them. :rolleyes1  We were very happy that they were chosen. They are really nice people. I think Joe looks to grouchy for us to get picked for anything fun like that. :rotfl2:

I couldn't believe that joker got out of his ride vehicle either. He couldn't have been thinking at all.

I hope the toddler was okay too. Poor little thing. :sad2:

Pictures on BTMRR are too cute....cute beyond words!! I think those first rides and their comments stay with us forever!!

I do not and never will understand how people think it's ok to just come up and stand right in front of you at a parade:headache:it makes me crazy!! It's happened to us a few times, but the worst was when we were at France in Epcot waiting to see Belle and Beast and this mother walked right in front of us and let her kids stand there. I politely told them the line up was behind us and the mother said "we're here now and we're not moving". I was completely stunned. Jasmine looked up at me and said "mom that's not fair" ... at this point I lost my mind....I just looked the mother straight in the eye and said "well you can't blame the children when the mother is clearly an idiot"...yup...me....still can't believe all that came spilling out, but it was the look on Jasmine's face....it made me crazy....obviously.:lmao:

WOW!!! The smaller they are, the more daredevil they become!!! It's funny sometimes. But that's good she's like that, and she's tall enough to ride all the rides. Haden is like that for us this year, so no chickening out on TOT for me!!! HAHA Anyways, great update, glad the lady moved....I elbowed a guy at the parade before, kept using my head for his arm to hold his camera steady!!! AH well....takes all kinds of people!!! Glad it wasn't confrontational tho.

Yay, Josie for riding roller coasters! Her comment at the end is too funny! She's such a cutie.:cutie:
How cool that your friends got to be in the parade! I always thought that would be so cool to do! One day I'll go over to Guest Services and ask. How rude of the people to try to cut in front of your girls.
Somebody got out of their car on Buzz!?!?!?:scared1::scared1: That's like jumping out of a moving plane with out a parachute! Idiot!
I think I speak for everyone when I say we want to hear about your July ADRS! Are you doing a DP?popcorn::popcorn::
The girls and I are going away tomorrow to NJ to visit family for a few weeks so I probably won't have any DIS time or very limited time. I'll try to start my new PTR when I'm up there, though. I'll let you know when I do.:goodvibes

Josie is precious on BTMRR. She is enjoying her first roller coaster... ;).

Congrats on the wait list, I know how much ya'll enjoyed staying there.

Oh wow!! How cool that your friends were the grand marshalls for the parade!! And Josie is cracking me up on that roller coaster!! :lmao:

Hey Leanne! Hope you guys are enjoying summer!! Great pictures!! I love Josie's reaction to Big Thunder!!! I wonder what happend to that little kid- sounds so scary.... I hope everything turned out ok.

Sounds like you had a magical day at the MK!!
