Now That MVMCP Dates Have Been Announced....

... when do tickets go on sale? And is this an event that generally sells out quickly?

In May is what I'm hearing CM'S have told folks.MVMCP'S can sell out but if you pick your date and call sometime this summer and get your tickets you should be fine.

Saw on another post that tickets would go on sale the beginning of May. Last year they went on sale April 30.

I think only two dates sold out last year and they were the ones closest to Christmas. We went on Sunday 12/14/03 and the crowd was minimal. From what I read on hear Sunday and Tuesday are the least crowded. Friday gets crowded because alot of local go.

Fridays are most likely to sell out especially the last day of MVMCP as it's closest to Xmas.

Others do not usually sell out.

How about Thursday nights? Does it tend to be very crowded?

We were there in 2002. The Friday night of our visit was sold out. We went on the Sunday night, and it was fine. There weren't many lines. None of the other nights were sold out. This was early December. We actually switched our tickets when we were there.

We loved it so much that we are planning our trip this year for December. I like to go in Nov., since it's a little warmer. I've gone in December a number of times and each time the weather has been different!

I believe the first Friday in December sold out this year as well. If it's a Friday or Saturday that you're looking at, grab the tickets pronto as they will tend to be the days that will sell out the fastest.

We went on a Tuesday and it was moderately crowded, but very manageable. We walked on quite a few rides, and had no wait to see Philharmagic.

Does anyone have a clue as to what 'sold out' is? I'm just curious if it's 10k, 20k or whatever.

This will be our 1st time for MVMCP and I'm trying to keep it a surprise but I'm ready to burst!

There have been postings that say the maximum is 20,000 but I don't think there has been any official confirmation of that number from Disney. When we went on a Sunday last year my guess is there was no more that 7K - 10K there. We had no waits and got a seat at the curb on Main Stree for the second parad 5 minutes before it arrived.

I actually work in Wakefield and have alot of co-workers who live in Peabody. Can we start some sort of poll from all the folks in Mass and find out where they're all coming from?

Tink- what do you mean you switched your tickets? Can you buy them for a particular night and switch nights later?
