We try to go there every summer, this past year we were right on the beach. Getting sunrise pics are waaaay easier when the scene is just outside the bedroom door~

here are a few of Sevara yesterday with the 50mm 1.4. i didnt get her usual smile but we had so much fun anyway.

and one from a few days ago - also with the 50 1.4 (you can see how shallow the depth of field is (right eye vs. left).

Jan- I used my new 105mm f2.8vr - I bought it primarily as a macro lens but have really enjoyed using it for that kind of stuff also.

Just got back from Florida, but not WDW this time. This trip was for the Amelia Island Concours, perhaps *the* best classic auto show in the US.

thanks so much for the comments! i really like the first one as well. btw - in the photo where she's holding the TLR camera, i was showig her how to take pictures with it (compared to a digital slr) and her odd expression is that of surprise since a twin lens reflex viewscreen is backwards. she was trying to point the camera at me and moved it the wrong direction and was wildly confused

I also posted this in the Digital Photos thread, but I just love statues and works of art so I thought I'd share here too...

We went to the movies today and I happened to have the camera with me so I snapped some photos of the fountains and the statues around the court yard area.
