hoping this is a zoom lens tryout and he's not landing on your head;) :thumbsup2

I love old buildings - and have wanted to take some shots of these for quite a while. Finally got a chance the other day. I still want to go back with a bigger zoom and try to get closer.

These were taken during sunset.

senecabeach -

Your pictures remind me so much of growing up around Andrews Air Force Base (Camp Springs, MD). We got used to see the jets taking off every day and always went to the air shows every spring. These pictures really bring back some family memories!

klmall...
Thanks. :flower3:
They practice here at the Atlantic City airport daily, so, thought I'd try out my new camera. Luckily the road parallels the beginning of the runway..
It was great just watching them..touch the wheels and take off again! Very Cool!!!!:)

Nice shots! I like the idea of getting closer with a wide angle lens. Can you gain access to the property?

Here's an old abandoned building. Taken at night (obviously :rotfl2: ) using a 1 second shutter speed. While the camera was recording the image I used a flashlight to "paint" the under side of the light fixture on the front. Looks like it's on.....

Thanks :) I took those with the widest angle lens I have (my kit lens). I am not sure how I would go about getting access. No one is ever around so I could probably hop the fence - but it is a barbed wire fence.

The only lens I had with me that day was the kit lens 18 -55mm. I was out taking photos of the tornado sirens for the citys Radio Amatuer Civil Emergency Services web site my husband maintains. We drove past these and I had him stop so I could quickly get some shots.

I would love to go back early in the morning on a nice day and with a better lens.
