I thought I'd share my first attempt at photo stitch. This was taken yesterday at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA just before the Bears vs Penguins hockey game.
Photostitch is the software that came with my Canon S2-IS camera. There is a setting on the camera that you choose to take the photos you later want to Stitch. http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/SDK/PS-e.html
Here is an article I found about shooting and creating panoramos. There is a list at the end of software - (Looks like Photoshop elements is able to do this. I have the software, but have never tried it!)
If a camera has a panorama mode, it will normally come with software.
This is about all I know... I am some of the other photographers here may have more information. I'm pretty much a novice. I know there are many that have done some awesome creations!
They were all on slides and still back in Australia. I don't know who takes care of them. I had pictures of Kangaroo and its Joey, Echidna, Kookaboora, Platypus and the whole roster of Aussie's unique animals.
I have had four more blooms (I have a pic somewhere - must be on the other computer), with a few more buds. I would say the blooms are lasting about five days!
Hey Martha!! That looks great!! I really gotta learn that technique - did you use the stitch settings on the S2? or on your own software? by the way - your Plumeria looks beautiful!! I've been off the board for a week or so - (have to clean the house sometime!!! ) I bet the smell is heavenly! My little lilac is blooming like crazy now and the scent blows in our family room windows - in the morning when I first come down, before the kids are up, it's just so awesome to inhale that smell!! Keep those awesome shots coming!!!
Kelly,
Your homeland shots are magnificent as always! The sunset one took my breath away! Would you mind if I use it as wallpaper for my desktop?! pretty please !!!

Went to an album launch last night that my DW was involved with - part of an event management class for her college course. i took the point and shoot i've now got, came out wishing i'd taken the dSLR, since the lighting was crap trying to get distance shots under poor light takes some doing. I spent more time setting up the camera manually to get good shots than i did taking pics! But, there were a couple of good ones with some careful planning.
This was one of the best - I wanted to get some feel of the speed the lead singer was moshing at (apologies if that term isn't used in the US - not really classed as rocking out, more a cross between handbag bopping and headbanging)... the lead singer's the near-invisible guy with the hula skirt on... that was his 'normal' costume!
The rest of the pics can be viewed, but they're nothing special (apart from the odd one or two that i like) http://s73.photobucket.com/albums/i213/bazzanoid/
