How long does the CP run? We will be there Dec. 26 - Jan. 2 and I just want to make sure that I am being realistic with our touring plan. I can't even make ADR's until Monday so I am secretly hoping that CP packages aren't released until after that!

I haven't found any availability for my dates yet, but looks like we're getting closer to an official release!

I tried too but with no luck!
Our kids hardly eat anything, but my husband and I are looking forward to the CLP dinner package. (Thanks Disney for allowing us to pay adult prices for the 10 yo girl to not eat!) Anyway, we thought the character interaction at Garden Grill would make the experience more enjoyable for the whole family. Can anyone confirm that the characters do appear during CLP dinners at the Garden Grill. Thanks!
Our daughter will have turned 10 just 2 weeks before our trip! She eats nothing!

Posting these time requirements from Disney Food Blog, for anyone like me who hasn't gone in a few years, when these time requirements were different. Will the reservation times available possibly START at the last time given? For instance, will there be a reservation time of 4:30 (or maybe 4:25) released for the 6:45 show?
  • 5:00pm show: Lunch meals will be from 1:45-2:45pm
  • 6:45pm show: Dinner meals will be from 3:30-4:30pm
  • 8:15pm show: Dinner meals will be from 5:00-6:00pm

Are these times for this year?

From what I can tell on the Disney Dining page, the latest time showing in the drop down menu for any restaurant is 5:30, with many at 4:00 or 4:30. That doesn't mean it couldn't pull up a later time than 5:30 (say 5:45 - guess we'll have to wait and see once booking is available), but they are staggered so that you have time to eat and make your way to the theater without rushing. I wouldn't want my ADR less than 2 hours from the start of the show :)

They haven't posted all the times on the Dining page IMO. As of last night I could only search up to 4pm but this morning it was up to 5:30. So it's definitely possible the times you can search right now are not finalized.

When I talked to them yesterday they told me part of the reason they has not released the packages yet was because they were still working on the times.

Yea I just spoke to them as well, since i'm trying to book christmas day and they said the times are not out yet.

We're planning our first Dec trip (8-13) and really want to see the CP. Hoping to get a lunch ADR at Biergarten for the first show!

Called this morning (Tuesday, June 23) Cast Member stated that last year they started taking reservations for CP on July 8th. Now it's just a waiting game.

Im so confused. this will be the first time we spend the holidays at WDW. Can you tell me those the CP work like the fantasmic show? I mean the process. I'm sorry I need some help here. We are a party of 8 and hoping to go to the CP on Xmas day. Or should we try for another night? going to be there for 7 days. Thank you!

Yes, the CP is very similar to the Fantasmic package. You must make a dining reservation for the CP, and you will be assigned a show (#1, #2, or #3) to attend depending on the time of your dining reservation. Typically, "lunch time" reservations are given the tickets to the first show of the night, late afternoon reservations are given tickets to the second show of the night, early evening reservations are given tickets to the last show of the night. This is assuming it will work the same way this year as it did last year. You get your "tickets" to the CP show from your dining server at the restaurant that you eat at.

I'll update the first post as we receive more information. I've now included the Candlelight Processional dates, show times and link to the different package prices in the first post. I'll also update when the packages are officially available to book!!

thank you BrotherBear!!!! truly appreciate it!

Do you need to be in your 180 booking window or can anyone book this. Our window doesn't open until 7/1/2015, so if the CP packages reservations open earlier can we call and make one for 12/29/15 or do we wait and the dates open up day by day?

You have to wait to book within your 180 day window.

I just called WDW dining (my reservations opened on 6/22) but I cannot make the CP reservations until they open up.
Yes, if 2015 reservations follow a similar pattern to last year, we should be able to book sometime during the next few weeks!! :)
