Chapter 25. 1000th Post Party!

Okay, now that that's out of my system --- Moving on!

So, I've had a pretty fun, busy, and exciting week. First, I joined a travel agency - already told yall about that. Did I mention I had a birthday? Well, I did. So, we had a nice dinner out with about 15 friends at Cheesecake Factory. Oh, that Lemon Raspberry Creme cheesecake was heavenly.

Then we went to the Jimmy Buffett concert. We've been having a lot of rain, but luckily - the weather was perfect that night, because the concert was outside. Man, that place was packed! 30 minutes in line to get a margarita! Insane. But, we had a good time. Not as good as some people there, if you know what I mean.

Saturday, we went to a Derby party. Lots of good food, good friends, and I think there was a race of some sort. Here's my hat:

On Sunday, I took my Daisy troop to The Magic House (our fantastic children's museum) for a fairy tale tea. This was so cute! Tea and apple juice in china teacups, pastries from Panera, a live mini-production of Cinderella, and autographs and pictures afterwards with Cindy, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother. I'm so glad Lucy is not too old for this.

And, of course, the big trip news - FREE DINING!!!! No problems converting our existing ressie at Caribbean Beach Resort. I know that some people will wait to book until a good deal comes out, but I actually like to book at rack rate. You sort of get used to that price, and it is such an awesome feeling when a discount comes out and you save big money. Forgetting of course that I never would have paid rack rate anyway!

What a packed few days! LOVE your hat. My BIL gets free tickets to the pre-races (Derby Days) every year, and I"m really hoping to make it next year with he and sis. Mmmmm... mint juleps!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Another year of Disney planning! Mine is on Saturday and I"m trying to decide if I should do a big party or not. Traditionally, the birthday girl cooks a HUGE meal and invites everyone over. Backwards from what we do, but being my last year here, it might be fun?
