I was wondering if anyone knew how the first full week of November is? We will be going Nov. 6 - Nov. 13 which is the week of Veteran's Day. We will only need to take the kids out of school for 4 days because of the holiday. It's also still the beginning of the school year so hopefully they won't get too far behind (it will be kindergarten and 2nd grade). That is why we picked this week.

Now, of course I am getting a bit nervous. I have seen a lot of people chat about Oct. being busy and the 2 weeks following Thanksgiving are nice, but does anyone have any info. on the week I am going? I have also seen a recent thread about Jersy Days? How busy it that? Also, is that considered on or off season. Just curious for park hours. I've been during off season before and it's fine, we just go to EPCOT every night. Thanks everyone!

We plan on going the same week. My friend went this week in 2002 and she said it was empty. The parks close on the early side but not too bad. If you look on the park hours section of this site and put in November 2003 you will get an idea of the hours. I think Jersey week ends around the 5th -6th.

The NJ Teachers' Convention is the 4th-5th. I would guess that most people from NJ are going to want to be home for election day (Nov. 2) and then head down there on the 3rd or 4th. Some people may stay a week, so there will probably be some overlap with your trip from Nov. 6-13... I'm not sure whether the schools will be closed on the Monday of Veteran's Day week or on Veteran's Day itself (in 2003 our district gave kids the Monday off instead of the Tuesday, which was actual Veteran's Day), but that might affect people's schedules (i.e. if kids get the Monday off, people might head home earlier in the week). My bet is that it will be more crowded the week you're going than, say the following week, but not too bad... I was hoping to go exactly the same time, but my DH's schedule may not permit it... I hope you and your family have a WONDERFUL time!!

My daughter and I were there this past 11/2-11/11 and the crowds were horrible! We have gone 3 times the first week in December so maybe we were just spoiled by the light crowds at that time of year..... Talk about being a minority the first week in November.... If you are not from Jersey you are odd man out. We will be there the first week in December this year!

You will have crowds from the food and wine festival, super soap weekend, Jersey week and Vet's day. It will be crowded!! If you have only gone let's say in July and then the week you plan on going, then of course you would think Nov. was empty!!! We usually go the week right before Thanksgiving, this year that's the 15th-21st. It isn't "empty" I don't think anytime really is anymore. It is less crowded and you hardly have any wait for any rides. It is our favorite time to go. Can you change your dates? If not, don't worry you will still have a great time, unlless crowds really bother you.

If you are staying on-site take advantage of early entry. The parks do close early, usually something like MK-6pm, MGM-7or8pm, Epcot FW-7pm WS-9pm, and AK-5pm. You can get alot don on an EE day at MK.
