Hi All

I am planning a 7 night trip this year but really struggling on which month to book.

November is the first choice as my husband wants to fly to vegas after for the F1.

I am worried however Novemeber will not be warm enough for us. We really enjoy sunbathing by the amazing pools in the day.

We previously visited in September and the weather was incredible, so hot with only 1 day of rain.
We visited in April last year and I found it to be much colder than our previous september trip. Overall it was nice and sunny but lots of periods of wind that were a bit chilly.

I have been doing lots of research online but lots of conflictung reports.

Would rather hear from people who have been before.

We can book to go another month, such as August/September, but my other half does really want to go to F1 and coming from the UK it is not possible to do 2 seperate trips.

Thanks

We were there in 2023 from late Oct into early Nov and we found the weather to be perfect. It was still very warm - I'd say highs in the 80's and best of all we had almost no rain. Though keep in mind we live in PA, so our idea of warm might different than someone from a warmer climate :) . Still, we loved it and plan on returning in a couple of years at around that same timeframe.

We had heard complaints about having to get up a stupid o clock to get pool chairs and such and we found that wasn't the case that time of year. The ones directly by the pool were usually taken when we'd finally wander down mid to late morning, but we could always find something and there were plenty down facing the ocean (which we actually preferred).

Hawaii in November is just as good weather wise as any other month. The temperature there doesn't change much at all.

We were there early November 2024 and thought the weather was great. We had a few hours of light rain sprinkled throughout our 4 days there, but it cleared up quickly and weather warmed back up right after. We swam and sunbathed every day and had no issues with wind making it chilly like on your April trip.

You can easily sunbathe in November. The seas start to get rougher, but Aulani is a protected lagoon, so no worries there.

Temperatures are the same al year long, but the rain increases as you get closer to the winter months. As do the waves on the beaches - if you want to swim in the ocean, then November is bordering on too late.

I just like to sunbathe by the pools :) :) Been to Aulani twice now and havent been brave enough to go in the lagoons yet! Maybe next time!

Like @jimmymc said, the lagoons are fine to swim in all year long, but if you get even braver and go to an actual open beach, November likely will have too big waves to swim unless you're an expert swimmer.

But there's nothing wrong with lying on a pool chair :thumbsup2

Jumping in to see if anyone else has weather experiences in late April to share? The two months I had considered traveling next year were early/mid November and late April and ultimately decided on late April to make it a birthday trip 🥳 I'm sure the weather can be hit or miss both times of the year, but hoping for the best!

Well, the weather can be "hit or miss" for any vacation anywhere on earth, but I would say that it is more likely to "hit" in Hawaii than most other destinations.

We were there last year in the first week of May, and we had highs in the mid- to high-70's, light rain showers almost every day, and some winds. Due to the wind, the beaches were closed often because the waves were high, but we were still at the pool or beach every day. Still better weather than back home.

Thank you! Weather is always the hardest part of vacation planning to me since you have NO control over it. The fact that Hawaii weather is pretty good year round definitely helps!
