November vs. December...need opinions!

We're planning a trip for late 2011. My options are Sat Nov 12 - Sat Nov 19 OR Sat Dec 3 - Sat Dec 10. We can't go any earlier because of football - son plays QB, husband coaches. I don't want to go any later in December because of school (wrapping up classes before Christmas break and too close to Christmas). Sounds like Thanksgiving crowds are awful, so not considering. That leaves the week before Thanksgiving or the week after. Are the crowds low? Is one week lower than the other? Help!

The parks tend to empty out the week after Thanksgiving. At least, they have in the past. Hoping they do this year, too, b/c that's when we're going. Plus, I like going in december b/c all the christmas decor is up and it is awesome!

WDW is about to re-class the December time to "Fall" season, I think. That will probably effect prices. That being said, we go the week of Veterans' Day and find the crowds very low. Check Touringplans dot com for crowd charts.

When is Jersey Week? That does impact the crowds...although I'm pretty sure it is the beginning of November>

It's the first full week of November.

December 3-10 tends to be Pop Warner time at Disney (although there are rumblings that Pop Warner's contract with Disney may not be renewed for 2011). Many people don't want to go during that time.

We're arriving the Sat after thanksgiving for a week. We did go this same week in 2000 and the crowds were not that bad. I know 10 years ago, but we do like the Christmas decorations and really don't want to be there when busier. The rates are great as well (except the Sat after Thanksgiving but we did get the 35% off with AP)

Leaning towards the week before Thanksgiving. Christmas decorations will be up either week - first Very Merry party is Nov 8 this year. Maybe I'll check touringplans for crowd specifics.

It seems WDW brings people in all year anymore. They even have the Christmas parties prior to Thanksgiving now. Back in 2000, I thought they started the week just after Thanksgiving. In fact, we did go to one of the first ones and it was Dec 2! Anyway, the week before the Thanksgiving week will most likely be fine. We are going the week after thanksgiving and hopefully we will have an ok week again as well as far as crowds.

Love the week after Thanksgiving!! Decorations are up, and crowds are light! But can't take the kids out of school for that long anymore, so we will be there for Thanksgiving this year.

I'm going the week right directly after Thanksgiving this year, 11/28-12/5. It's still value season and crowds should still be light, and I avoid Pop Warner week.

Decision made...week before Thanksgiving. Holiday decorations up, MVMCP several times that week (at least for 2010) and away from Thanksgiving & Pop Warner. Touringplans.com shows 30 days for free - Thanksgiving weekend (which would be when we arrive if we did week after) are 9s & 10s for crowd levels. All 1s and 2s the week before.
