We have always gone to Disney the week before thanksgiving week and loved it.
Low crowds great weather and the entertainment rate from Hojo's but this year they are not showing anything for Nov and they are not sure if they will offer them. The week they are offing them is in Oct 21-26 which they say is a slow week. But that is the week before Halloween. Was thinking about going but afraid of more crowd (but might be ok because of midweek) or the Treat of treat parties going on. Has anyone been this week before? should i go? or wait till nov and pay more for Hojo or Candycane

During the Halloween time, one of the parks, the one hosting the Halloween Haunt (DL last 2 years, DCA all the years before), closes early to the general public and only allows the Halloween ticket holders in. That means the park not hosting Halloween gets much busier--in the evening. In my experience mid-November will be slower than late October, but not a huge difference. That said, I think you can still get everything done if you arrive at opening and have a plan no matter what time you come. Maybe what you should consider is the Halloween versus the Christmas Disney magic. I love the Christmas decorations at DLR, but i also love the Halloween decorations. If you've never been to DLR for the Halloween decorations, you may want to go for that.

Mid November between both holidays. Closer to the first one tho. Closing in on Thanksgiving gets busy. But this is a wonderful time to go. Christmas is becoming in full swing, the crowd levels are low. There were days where rides were a walk on. Actually one morning about 10am last November, I believe it was a Thursday, we went right down to Splash mountain. Not ONE person waiting to get on the ride. The CM let my family go as many times a we wanted. We hit 4 times and were soaked and called it a day, but they would have let us go again. It was AMAZING!

I have also been in October. Halloween festivities are a blast, but the crowd levels are also up and like others said the parks can close early. So I guess that's the trade off.
