We'll be there EXACT same time....arriving the 4th, though, and checking out the 12th. 2 nights at AS Music Suites, then 6 nights at AKV.

I can't wait to be at Disney for Christmas; it is so beautiful. Were you there for Christmas? I saw in another post that you said you just drove down and back. I cringe to think of driving but would never say never. Driving might be an option, we'll see what airfare prices do and then make a decision. Good to know that it's only 22 hours, as my DH would NEVER stop. We have driven to Fort Myers from MA, nonstop. I think we still had 12 hours to go once we hit Orlando...traffic, huge accident. It was awful, I lost track of time once I began to measure the timing of our commute in days, rather than hours. I said never again but, if we were to cut 12 hours off the commute we might consider it.
We were there 12/8-15 and loved it. I never thought Disney would be a trip we would repeat trip(too many other places to go...was my former thinking...LOL!!!) but, upon returning home I found myself watching Disney shows, searching online for all things Disney and ended up booking a repeat trip for the same dates this year. I can't wait; I am trying (really hard) not to count down the whole year and to look forward to all the other things the year may bring but, I have been bit by the Disney bug and as of right now I am counting down. I love this particular thread, as we can all count down together.

I have been looking for a thread of this type. I will be at Disney November 25-December 1, 2008. I know it is Thanksgiving week but it is the only time we can go for the Christmas decorations. We are staying at the CR MK View. This will be our first time staying on Disney property so we are REALLY excited.

I just booked us today for Nov. 9-21. We will be staying all ASMu family suite. We also have relatives joining us for part of the time, so we will be a Magical Gathering.

I am so excited. We have been so many times, but never this time of year. I have so much to learn!! I feel like its my first time going.

The drive! We drove with my boys in 2005. 8 & 6 and my 10 month old and my mom and me and DH. 24 hours. Yikes.

I do consider it at times, but for DH, I think the memories are still to clear.

I do most of the driving so he had to tend to the kids. And my mom.

We'll be in Disney Nov 29th till Dec 8th. A Birthday gift for me.
This is our 3rd trip but first to see the Christmas decorations.

We are staying at POFQ.

I haven't told the kids yet. I'm going to trip to keep it a surprise.

My Deluxe PassPorter came the other day! This is excitment people!

We drove down in August of 2006 with my DD and DS (6&4). My husband is very possesive of the wheel so I can say that I only drove maybe 5 hours if any.

Anyway, we made a pitstop into SC for a night and then drove into Savannah to go to Lady & Sons and meet with my BF from Atlanta. Then right afterwards stayed at a rinky dink outside the gates before we checked in the next day.

Coming back, we drove until night, stayed and then drove the rest of the way back and I think I got in 3 hours of driving this time.


The drive's not bad, the kids were good. Thank God for DVD players in the car!

We might do Amtrak this year b/c DS is a Thomas the Tank Engine freak!!!
Anyone ever take the train?

We will be driving down. I do all the driving, but I can't drive straight through. We leave Tennessee, and I usually stop a few hours past Atlanta.

Our wine drinking partners are joining us for their first F&W, 11/2 thru 11/7. Then a special quick trip in December(11-13), for DW's 50th bday. Love the decorations, Osborne lights, and Candlelight Processional......22 more days and we'll be back home at BWV!!!

I had to change my dates to December 10-19th.

It was a postive change though.
