November Crowds

Hey Everyone- I am sure this is somewhere on the boards, but for some reason, the search didn't turn up anything for me. I'm planning a (semi-last minute) trip to the world November 13-17, 2 weekends before thanksgiving..any input on the crowds during this time? Pictures?

We are planning on not getting the park hoppers this time..I'm hoping if the crowds are low we won't have a need for them. Thanks in advance!

I can't speak to two weeks before Thanksgiving but, in my opinion, the week before Thanksgiving is one of the best weeks of the year to go in terms of crowd levels (I see you'll have a few days in the parks the week before). In 2008, my family's trip straddled the week before Thanksgiving and the week of Thanksgiving (arrived on Thursday the week before and left the Wednesday before). The crowd levels the first two days of our trip (Thurs and Fri) were amazingly low. We went right to MK on Thursday afternoon and Splash Mountain didn't have more than a 5 minute wait the entire time we were there; Thunder Mountain didn't have more than a 10 minute wait. We went to EPCOT on Friday and again experienced very low crowds (the only exception was Soarin'). We were back at MK on Saturday and experienced low crowds in the morning. However, the party was over on Sunday (huge crowds at DHS) and stayed that way the rest of our trip. Of course, I was aware that the week of Thanksgiving was a popular week, I just didn't expect the week before would be so low. So, my wife and I are sold on the week before Thanksgiving and will be in Disney World this November from the 15th to the 21st. Bottom line - I think you're going to have a great trip.

Thanks so much for your response. I went in July of this year, and found the crowds to be tolerable..so I'm sure November will be great for me. Anyone else?

We went last year Nov. 8th-19th and it was wonderful. Now granted it was our first time...but it was not overwhelmingly crowded. We are going again this year 7th-16th...I love this time of year...low crowds...perfect weather...LOVE IT.

Hey we'll be there the same time!

I went this same week a few years back. Out of 10 trips it was the least crowded of them all. Hoping for a repeat this November!

We went middle of Nov last year. It was great! At 10am at Epcot we got to stay on TT and go around again. No one was waiting to get on!

I agree. We were at WDW during November 8-15 last year and it was grand. We have always gone in the fall between mid-September and mid-November and it's our favorite time. Crowds are low and the weather is nice. I will miss it this year.
