November Check In 2010

I don't have any planning to do for this trip as my sister that's going with us never likes to plan ahead for anything and decided she doesn't want to go to any character meals.:sad2:

Maybe I can talk her into a WOC picnic package.

Going to the park with one of "those kind of people" makes it crazy for the ones of us who like to plan, doesn't it?
My son seems to think we don't need any sort of plans either but he would sure be dissappointed if we showed up at Blue Bayou without a reservation. It's a good thing he has me to know better about these things.

Good luck talking your sister into the WOC. She'd probably thank you later. My bunch hasn't got a clue they are even going. I'm just going to drag them along with me!!!

Yay, then my dates will be showing up soon! We don't really need the WOC picnic since we are staying at the VGC we can get our WOC Fastpass before the park opens, so I'm not going to sweat it one way or the other.

Good to have both options! Just wondering... I'm not exactly sure just where the VGC are located. Do they have any VGCs with park views so that you might see any of WOC from there? That would be nice too.

I am at the 50 mark today! Seems like we just started planning not so long ago even though it was almost a year. Having missed making it to the park last year I am more than ready to get back to Disneyland.

I know that SherryE posted about the Candlelight Processional today. Has anyone heard anything about Thanksgiving plans yet?

The VGC rooms are located on the wing running along the DCA fence so you may get a room with a view of WOC, but it's just the luck of the draw at check in. We had a park view last year that was really cool.

I just found this thread!!!

We are going to be there Nov 10th-17th staying at Travelodge Anaheim International Inn. There will be 15 of us!!! (DH, me, DSIL (Kim), her DH and 2 children [5 and 18 mos], DSIL (Christy), her DH and 2 children [5 and 25 months] and DSis, her DH and 3 children [7,5 and 23 mos]. It is going to be a lot of fun with all of those kids.....and a bit tiring!!! We are surprising DSis's kids who think they have to wait until the 5 y.o. turns 6 next Spring before we will take them again.

Ok you guys....I need a little help trying to get the timing of a few things down.

We know we want to do the AG WOC dinner, as well as the Fantasmic dessert box thing. We are planning on eating pretty much around 6:00 each night. Both WOC and F! reservations can't be made until 30 days prior, correct?

If we are there between Nov 25th and Dec 5th, what time should we schedule our AG dinner, and will a 6:00 dinner conflict with Fantasmic?

Thanks so much! Getting closer!! :woohoo:

Fantasmic is 30 days, but Ariel's Grotto WOC dinner can be reserved 2 months out. I made my reservation for Nov 12 on Sept 12. :)

Welcome! Let me know where you are staying and I will add the info to the list. You are going to love November! The weather is great. Crowds are nice. And, the park is decked out for the holidays! What's not to love, right? Counting right along with you!

We are staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites and have decided to come in a day earlier than we originally planned (11/11 - 11/14). It will be me, DH, DD (8) and DS (5).

Does anyone know if we should be able to fit in a 6:00 dinner PS and still catch F! Or should we plan on skipping dinner and just heading to F?

Thanks!

we are going Nov 12th to 14th for DD's bday.
Not sure yet where we are staying. Can't make up my mind LOL

Looking to do Mickey and Minnie's breakfast for DD's bday. Those who have done it how was it?

Okay, it's official. I'm going in November! Having just gotten back from our Labor Day weekend trip, I felt like posting too early that I was going back so soon would jinx the experience, but everything is pretty much in place now. I'll be there November 3-7 and I'll be staying at HOJO's this time (finally get to check it out!). I'll be there for a conference, so I'll mostly have just the evenings to spend in the park, but I'm hoping I can cut through the GCH and through DTD during breaks or lunch to catch one ride or at least grab a fastpass. We'll see! I'll just be happy to wander aimlessly and soak in the atmosphere.

I'll be going to a special dessert event on the evening of November 4th at DCA. It looks like it mostly takes place in the Animation Studio (which I love). It was somewhat pricey, so I'm interested to see if they do anything beyond just the regular Turtle Talk, Drawing, and tour of the Beast's Library.

I think I'll probably pre-order a picnic for WOC for the first night I'm there. We did this over Labor Day weekend and now that I have a better feel for the lay of the land, I think it will be easier to get a good spot. I'm looking forward to seeing the calendar fill out soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that RDCT shows on Friday and Saturday night. I'm kind of bummed that the park seems to be open only until 11:00 on Friday and Saturday since I'm limited to just evening hours, but that must mean there expecting pretty small crowds.

Can you tell the rest of us where the good spot might be for WOC with picnic.:thumbsup2

I am going to make my WOC dinner reservations today! I'm still trying to decide between AG and WCT though. Even though they haven't announced a WOC schedule, I think I will make our reservations for 6ish and that should work for us.
