November 9, 2008 4 day Wonder- who's in?

Hi everyone,
I can not believe our trip is finally here. We are driving to Toronto today and catching our flight tomorrow morning . If you set up a time to meet I will try and check the board tomorrow morning before we leave. How is the weather Donna? We actually had a snow day here this week, We need some Florida sun. See everyone soon!

HURRAY FOR US!!!!
We have 6 day until we board that plane.
We are almost all packed and ready.

How about we plan on having our DIS meet at 4:30, Deck 10, directly across from the big screen. That'll be right after the safety drill - just enough time to get back to your stateroom to drop off your life jackets and head up on deck.

If you haven't been on the ship yet, that probably makes no sense, but it will. Deck 9, mid-ship is where the Goofy Pool and large Jumbotron screen is. The stage, where they do the Sailaway Party, is right underneath the large screen. (They cover the Goofy Pool so everyone can stand/dance on it). Standing up on Deck 10, you can see the whole party going on.

Don't forget to grab a DOTD - Drink of the Day.

This will be your view..... we'll be standing at the railings you see in the bottom right corner, overlooking Deck 9. And it sure won't look this peaceful!

OMGosh yes!!!!! I think my DS Kyle is going crazy with excitement. He is constantly talking about the cruise. Pre- and post-WDW trip? Nahhhh... he can't wait to CRUISE with the Mouse!!! This boy has been counting down the days to Castaway Cay for at least 6 months. He totally fell in love with it from the DCL dvd.

We should have most of our packing finished today, we leave Wednesday night after soccer practice (DH is the coach, lol) on a red eye flight out of LAX, getting into MCO at 6 a.m.
2 more nights at home till we start our dream vacation!!!

I didn't want to upset my cat so I haven't gotten the suitcase out yet. I had to take him to the vet this morning because he stopped eating. My sister is going to take care of him and I don't want for her to have to deal with a sick animal. Vet thinks he'll be OK. I hope he's right. Anyway, I'm leaving Wed evening also so I better start packing. See everyone on board!

OMG!!! One more sleep before we leave too!! Can't wait. My ds's are so excited about the cruise (so am I). They have never cruised. I don't know if I can meet before the sailaway party because we are sailing with our whole family, 15 of us. I'll have to see what our group is doing. Hope you have a great time. Hopefully I can sneak away to say hi!!
Anyone else saying..."I can't believe it is really happening?" We have been planning this for 10 months. Yahooo! We're going on a Disney Cruise!!

Do you know if they have non alcoholic DOTD?? I can't drink because of my medications. tia

Tonight DD said, "I can't believe it's really here!! Last Halloween I said it will nevvvveeeeerrrr be here... a year away was so long, and finally it's here!" I booked this 15 months out, so it's been forever I think.

Even my DH is pretty darn excited!!

Do try to sneak away for a few- after all this time, I'd love to meet ya face to face!

G'Morning all!

Yes, there are non-alcoholic DOTDs! In fact, they come that way and they add the "magic" if you order it that way. I love the drinks and like saving the (plastic) glass they come in. Feels like a free souvenier (it isn't!) but I'm building a nice collection of them at home. There are assorted colors, too.

Sorry to hear about the upset kitties. We have dog - a yellow lab - who isn't the least bit upset that we're leaving. "Grandma" comes to stay at our house when we travel and he gets spoiled rotten so he pretty much helps us pack!

Neonurse - do sneak away, or just bring em up to Deck 10 with you for a few minutes! It's always nice to put faces with names and you'll be surprised how often we may cross paths on the ship.

Anyone else wearing matching family tees or outfits?

The storm center seems to be heading way south of Nassau, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I like your positive outlook! This is my first ever cruise and I'm hoping that the weather doesn't put a damper on things (pun intended).
