November 8, 2008 7 Night Eastern 11/8/2008 11-8-2008 FIRST POST UPDATED ON 10/16/08

It's my birthday today!!!!

And as of today, we only have 60 days left until we will be at Disney World!!!!!

Here's some Mickey Mouse birthday cake from me to all of you guy's! ::MickeyMo :cake:

I don't know about getting alllllll of the good slots... but I tried to plan it out. It looks like I may have messed up on DW's spa time. She wanted everything done after CC as a relaxing end to the cruise and so nails/skin won't be in the sand & ocean afterward.

Now I learn the kids' end of the cruise ceremony is usually on Friday evening at 5:00. That will conflict with the spa time for DW and I know she will want to be there as it is suppose to be cute. Does anyone know how long the presentation with the kids runs?

I've never been to these ceremonies, but if I had a young one I would be there. One good thing in this day and age is the magic of filming and being able to watch it almost instantaneously. You could film the ceremonies while she is relaxing at the spa and she could watch it later. This is a suggestion that might work. It's not like being there, but it is the best of both worlds.:)

Happy Birthday to you, Stitch's o' hana, and thanks for the piece of cake. Welcome back to land 1DisneyQueen. So glad you enjoyed yourselves and returned before all the storms hit. Wish I could see the Magic like you can. Take a pic and email me.:goodvibes The trip is getting closer and I can't wait. I still have my DCL Count Down Clock going since Christmas.
I can't believe it says 61 days  :cool1:  :cheer2: :dance3: til we leave the house for FL.
Hope everyone on the east coast has tightened down the hatches as Hanna is on her way up. Keep dry and safe everyone. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Hey Tiger Tink & Wendy Lover,
I think that was the other person who mentioned margarita tasting, anyways, if not... I apologize for getting the screen name messed up. Anyways, Mega Mouse House & I were just talking earlier because we attended a margarita tasting on our last Dis Cruise.... We hope you like Tequila, because it should be named Tequila and Margarita Tasting... There were 3 shots for each of us, one lesser quality, one middle quality, and one good quality. Then there were 2 margaritas, one regular and I think the other was strawberry. The margaritas were fine, but neither of us expected to have Tequila shots.

I'm wondering what was the issue with Martini tasting and Wine tasting? Care to give generic details???

Besides, we did learn a lot about tequila, and we sort of know what to look for if we ever buy it, too bad it's neither of our drinks of choice. But now that I know what to expect, I might be persuaded to attend again, especially because another friend who will be a 1st time Dis Cruiser does enjoy tequila. We'll see, I don't know if we can talk Tracy into it again...

Happy Birthday to Pixie Dust, chkdrumr, and 1 year old Lauren (born2cruise) - sounds like a celebration - filled weekend!

No birthdays for us but next Saturday is our 5 year wedding anniversary :)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Thanks everyone for the Happy Birthday wishes! I had a wonderful day!

I am surprised to read about the tequila with the margarita tasting. I am sure my dh will want to go. We went to a tequila factory while on a Disney Cruise on the west coast and it was a wonderful tour. We had a tasting while at the factory!:woohoo:

Is anybody doing magnetic door signs for the cruise? I thought it would be nice if we had a theme for the cruise and all had a door sign the same or similar (in addition to your own personal signs.) Opinions, ideas, etc.??? Maybe something similar to the picture below which I found on another thread:

Disboarders.jpg

I have done a door sign like our logo on page 1 and this week we are doing a trial run on t-shirts. I will post a photo after we do the first shirt! Also, I hope to post two pictures of our Mickey bedrooms soon. Everything is almost finished. It has been a big job with painting, carpet and more work than I anticipated!

I completely forgot about the proposed logo on page 1 - I love it and will Make one for my door. I also have several Veteran's Day door signs that I'll post when I get them done. Thanx. Sue

Hooray! As of the 5pm forecast track, we are officially out of the cone for Ike - Hanna only brought us lots of rain yesterday; so we've now been lucky for two storms....Let's hope IKE stays away :)

Stiners -I grew up in Maplewood! Did you go to Columbia??!!!
I DID go to Columbia, and I lived on Girard Place (above the Maplewood country club golf cours) I always say S.O. because if you're not from the area I have found S.O. is more known (the Oranges) :hippie:

Stiners- I'm from Point Pleasant. I was born in Newark but moved to Wall Township soon after. My husband is from Point so that is where we settled down. I still have college friends who live in Bloomfield, Cranford and Wood-Ridge. Go Giants!! They just beat my DH's team tonight. I had a friend who rented in LBI for 2 weeks in Aug. but I didn't get a chance to go and visit. I never had the opportunity to see Bruce. My Sis went out with his bodyguard and she used to travel with him. I was too young at the time so she wouldn't bring me to his concerts. She is actually still friends with his bodyguard. Did you see him in concert or at the Pony?
okay now I am dating myself, but I started seeing them when Max joined the band (75 or 76 I think?) :hippie: and reconnected with him and his sister when I moved from Atlanta to NH so I am a HUGE groupie! My mom is a huge Giants fan, you should take the drive to LBI, it's a really special place, the beaches are gorgeous. if you go for dinner eat at the Plantation or Kubels. We take our son to Seaside every summer, but I used to LOVE Pt.Pleasant, especially Kay's Bakery and Bob Hoffmans - are they still there?

finally did what I should have done in the first place. sat down & read ALL the posts. LOTS of questions answered!

Pixie and to all who are interested I found this on January 2008 Navigator which is set up for the 7 day Eastern Trip. (I'm sure costs are subject to change! )
Margarita & Taquila Tasting on a Monday the cost is $15.00. (I'm up for it.)

Wine Tasting on Sunday, Monday & Thursday the cost is $12.00. (Read some pros and cons, but I'm up for this also)

Tour of the Gallery, (pirate: argh that's kitchen for you mateys' who don't know that. argh pirate: ) on Thursday and the cost is free  .

I would also like to try the Napking folding on Monday just to say I have finally done this. Hope this helps.

DisneyQueen~~~
Okay, I am back from a 15 day Repo cruise through the Panama Canal and ready to gear up for this awesome eastern cruise. Hello to the new comers, belated Happy Birthday and Anniversary.

Some of the highlights from the PC cruise that we would love to do again:
We did the Secret Mickey/Pal and it was wonderful. Somer very thoughful, personal and creative gifts.

Fish extender gifts were very creative. It was neat to get things specific to peoples state or specifically for the cruise. I was really wowed by some of the gifts and how creative people are.
We are hoping there is enough interest to do it on this cruise as well.

I love the idea of the theme for this cruise. I always make magnets for our door anyway.

Any thoughts on plans?

I am looking forward to next week here as the Magic will be in dry dock. I can see her on my way to work everydayand that is a great way to start your day, if you cannot not be sailing on it. It will be nice to see the Magic all freshly overhauled and painted.

Wow, to be on the 15 day repo must have been fantastic!!! :worship:

Now you get to see the Magic every day while in drydock?!? :worship: :worship:

I hope I signed up for the FE. I will make sure my sister does as well, She really got into it on this last cruise.

Love the FE. It is very cute. I will have to see if I have a photo of mine.

Wendy Jersey if you want I can make you one when I make Chrissy's.

I wanted to stop by and report that the Magic is in dry dock and she looks like home. I took a picture with my cell phone. Tomorrow I will try to do it with my camera. My family already went by there today to see her.
