I just checked (12:15PM) and this is what is available for dinner at Palo's:
Day 1: Port Canaveral
6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30
Day 4: St. Maarten
6:00, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00
Day 5: St. Thomas
6:00, 9:00
Day 7: Castaway Cay
6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30
I think you can book dinner online (brunch still not available on line) and then try for brunch on the ship. I think someone mentioned how nice it to have dinner at Palo's when the ship is in port or leaving as you can see all the lights. Hope this helps.
Bummer on the scheduling - but on the other hand, I stayed up Sunday night until midnight to book Palo and there really wasnt that many choices even then. There was only dinner available even then. (no brunch or tea) We booked 9pm on the semi-formal night (thursday). I figure we can always try to change on board. I did have pretty good luck with the spa reservations I wanted but even those were disappearing fast at midnight onwards.Ok- So I'm waiting months and months to wait to try to get ressies for Palos and what happens... I was at a 40th b-day party the night before, trying to keep up with my friends( who have older kids and a better social life than myself at the time) and I wind up with a hangover and forget
. So I just remembered and took ressies for the last night dinner. I will try to change them on the ship. If I remembered this am,Wed at 6 would have been fine. Oh well. If we keep these ressies, what will we miss at dinner that night. We can still make the Farewell in the lobby.
At least I had a good time at the party, saw some friends I haven't seen in a while. Kids go back to school next week so busy with Orientations etc.
Bye for now. Bo
We are booked on the nov8 cruise & a friend told me about this board...I had NO IDEA there was so much to know, to get, to do! I am traveling with (let's see if I get this right) m dh & ds(4 1/2). I would love to meet mom's with kids Jake's age. I will also start with an eas question. What in the world is a FISH EXtENDER & where do I get one????![]()
Hi Stiners - I had the same issue with most of the Disney excursions being for 5 years old and up. I wasn't that enthusiastic about the ones that were offered either. So a couple of weeks ago, I searched the DisBoards and researched the non-DCL excursions. I ended up finding two really great excursions - one for St. Maarten and one for St. Thomas that sounded fun for both us and our 4 year old dd. We booked a trip on The Lord Sheffield pirate ship (http://www.stmaarten-shoretrips.com/...atecruise.html) for St. Maarten and we booked a trip with Godfrey Tours including shopping, Coki Beach, and Coral World (http://godfreytoursvi.com) for St. Thomas. Let me know if you book either of them. Have a great day.
So I now know what a fish finder is...but since it is our first cruise I think I will start with some Pirate paraphenalia
and work my way up to fish finder status on the next cruise...I will be happy just to be packed in time.
floridamom & borntocruise - can't wait to get the dd & ds's together - glad to hear about the club too.![]()
goofyfd, zoom thanks too for your welcome posts.![]()
gotta go look for excursion stuff - any suggestions when having a 4 1/2 yr old along? alot of the cutoff ages seem to be five...
I haven't been posting, and I just caught up over the weekend. I've been so busy!!!!! I really shouldn't be on hear now since I'm at work. Oh well, here goes anyway...
Question for all of you return cruisers. I wanted to do Palo brunch for my mom's B-Day (4 days after return. she's going home I'm going to WDW) I feel a litle guilty about that. As a new DCL cruiser I new it was unlikely I would get the chance to book at 75 days, and as you all know it was full long before that. Now for my question...Should I try for it first thing when we board, or should I try to make some sort of alternate plan?![]()
There was still Palo dinner available as of 1:00 am, but I don't know what nights or times, and I don't know what night would be best to book.![]()
I think I just need some advice from a DCL veteran.![]()
Thanks!
Fran
