Pixie Dust Happy Birthday!:cake: My Bday is Wednesday, so I'll be celebrating this weekend as well.
Happy Birthday to Pixie Dust, chkdrumr, and 1 year old Lauren (born2cruise) - sounds like a celebration - filled weekend!

No birthdays for us but next Saturday is our 5 year wedding anniversary :)

Hey Tiger Tink & Wendy Lover,
I think that was the other person who mentioned margarita tasting, anyways, if not... I apologize for getting the screen name messed up. Anyways, Mega Mouse House & I were just talking earlier because we attended a margarita tasting on our last Dis Cruise.... We hope you like Tequila, because it should be named Tequila and Margarita Tasting... There were 3 shots for each of us, one lesser quality, one middle quality, and one good quality. Then there were 2 margaritas, one regular and I think the other was strawberry. The margaritas were fine, but neither of us expected to have Tequila shots.

I'm wondering what was the issue with Martini tasting and Wine tasting? Care to give generic details???

Besides, we did learn a lot about tequila, and we sort of know what to look for if we ever buy it, too bad it's neither of our drinks of choice. But now that I know what to expect, I might be persuaded to attend again, especially because another friend who will be a 1st time Dis Cruiser does enjoy tequila. We'll see, I don't know if we can talk Tracy into it again...

Hey everyone and Welcome stiners and DCL Cruise Luvr.
The name is WendyJersey, but you were close. The Martini's were just not to our liking. I don't think any of us were Martini's drinkers anyway, but I thought when I first started drinking Scotch that it was bad, but by the fourth sip I was fine. The Martini's were just not in the cards for me. Wow three shots. Hummmmm better order one the next time I'm out to see if I can drink it that way, but you can still count me in and I'm hoping TigerTink will come also. We are really in the count down stage. I'm trying not to think about it as it will come so fast and then it will be over and that's the part I hate. Well, let me run have to get a cake for my nephew's birthday.

Hi Everyone!!!

Well we did reserve Palo dinner, but since Mozart and Gecko1 took all the good time slots, we took the Friday night at 6. I'm not too upset with that, it will be a nice "finale" for the cruise.

My older girl wanted to do the stingrays, so I will be doing that with her.

Can't believe that we are just a little over 2 months out!!

I am almost finished with my fish extender, I will try to post a picture when I finish the last little details.

Started my pirate costumes, but still have a lot to do. Maybe I shouldn't say that I am making them, I don't know how they are going to turn out.

Welcome all the newbies!!! Don't forget to let me know if you want to participate in the gift exchange!

Hope that everyone had a great holiday weekend!!

Time to SEW!!

I don't know about getting alllllll of the good slots... but I tried to plan it out. It looks like I may have messed up on DW's spa time. She wanted everything done after CC as a relaxing end to the cruise and so nails/skin won't be in the sand & ocean afterward.

Now I learn the kids' end of the cruise ceremony is usually on Friday evening at 5:00. That will conflict with the spa time for DW and I know she will want to be there as it is suppose to be cute. Does anyone know how long the presentation with the kids runs?

From our last cruise in '05, i think the ceremony itself lasted about 20 mins. but getting all kids go up the stage takes awhile, it might be earlier than 5pm so the people who are in early seating for dinner will have time to change, then after the ceremony you can't just pick up your kids because they have to go back at the club then you sign them out. and also, i think they have to be in the club for 1-2 hrs before the actual ceremony. (not sure if they do rehearsals)

Is anybody doing magnetic door signs for the cruise? I thought it would be nice if we had a theme for the cruise and all had a door sign the same or similar (in addition to your own personal signs.) Opinions, ideas, etc.??? Maybe something similar to the picture below which I found on another thread:

Please don't quote me since this is my 1st Disney cruise but I thought I read that the ceremony (with graduation hats) was on Thurs. Am I thinking of the same thing as you? If on Fri. that's a tight squeeze with Castaway Cay, showers and getting ready. I'd like to stay as late as possible on CC.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I hope everyone stays safe with all the storms swirling around. I feel sorry for anyone cruising now and within the next week or so. Bye for now.

Just posted and saw your sign. I love the green background with mouse heads.

Thanks for the info mimi'sgirl. I'm getting two stories now though. I guess I will pull up some navigators online and see if I can figure it out.

According to the Jan. 19th, 2008 Eastern Magic cruise the kid's "celebrate the journey " on stage was on Thursday at 5:00 PM at the Walt Disney theatre. The final farewell (kids celebrate their graduation) was on Friday at 9:00 PM in the Oceaneer's club. This is the link to the Jan. 19th Navigators:

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to everyone who celebrated!!! Welcome to all the newcomers!!! I've been gone for a while getting the kids settled in school. Worrying about a bunch of hurricanes. I got my Fish Extender and it is so nice!! I LOVE Ebay!!! We've also been debating the Lord Sheffield. I really really want to do it, but dh is afraid of seasickness. Has anyone done this before?

 I think I booked our Palo dinner the night of the Pirate theme dinner...(wed?) there is no way we want to miss the pirate dinner and party...does anyone have the onboard evening "event" itinerary? pirate: or is there anywhere I can find this? I know there is a childrens ceremony/graduation type event :flower3: , not sure if it's the same night or not...confused again...:upsidedow

Sunday-November 9th
• At Sea
• Dinner - Formal Night

Monday-November 10th
• At Sea
• Dinner - Cruise Casual

Tuesday-November 11th
• St Maarten (8am to 7pm)
• Dinner - Pirate Night

Wednesday-November 12th
• St. Thomas (8am to 4:30pm)
• Dinner - Cruise Casual

Thursday-November 13th

We made our Palo reservations for Thursday night since we'll be dressed semi-formal anyway. The only time we could get at the time was 9pm so I'm planning to try to get an earlier reservations for that night once we are onboard.

happy planning,
Randi

Stiners- I'm from Point Pleasant. I was born in Newark but moved to Wall Township soon after. My husband is from Point so that is where we settled down. I still have college friends who live in Bloomfield, Cranford and Wood-Ridge. Go Giants!! They just beat my DH's team tonight. I had a friend who rented in LBI for 2 weeks in Aug. but I didn't get a chance to go and visit. I never had the opportunity to see Bruce. My Sis went out with his bodyguard and she used to travel with him. I was too young at the time so she wouldn't bring me to his concerts. She is actually still friends with his bodyguard. Did you see him in concert or at the Pony?

Okay, I am back from a 15 day Repo cruise through the Panama Canal and ready to gear up for this awesome eastern cruise. Hello to the new comers, belated Happy Birthday and Anniversary.

Some of the highlights from the PC cruise that we would love to do again:
We did the Secret Mickey/Pal and it was wonderful. Somer very thoughful, personal and creative gifts.

Fish extender gifts were very creative. It was neat to get things specific to peoples state or specifically for the cruise. I was really wowed by some of the gifts and how creative people are.:worship:
We are hoping there is enough interest to do it on this cruise as well.

I love the idea of the theme for this cruise. I always make magnets for our door anyway.

Any thoughts on plans?

I am looking forward to next week here as the Magic will be in dry dock. I can see her on my way to work everydayand that is a great way to start your day, if you cannot not be sailing on it. It will be nice to see the Magic all freshly overhauled and painted.
