Stitches- We will be at Pop from Nov 2 - the morning of the cruise. We are driving from NJ so I figured we would make the most of it. I would offer you a ride to the port but with 2 little ones, strollers and all that go with them - I don't think we would have the room. Oh I forgot about separate suitcases for the World and then the cruise. Yikes- I better get shopping.


That's alright. Our travel agent is going to set it up so we will ride over to the Swan Resort and get on the DCL Bus there.

Also has anyone one ever been on United Airlines before? My mom and I are using them to fly this time and we have never been on United Airlines. We have always done Northwest Airlines, but we are not all happy with them. So I figured we would give United Airlines a try this time.

We used them in September and regretfully I cannot give a positive response. Although our situations may have been isolated, doubt it as they happened both coming and going. I was not apprecative that we had to buy a box lunch for a 4 hour flight.

I wish you the best and hope someone else has a positive experience to share. Ohm and before someone flames me, yes I did file a complaint with the airline.

Morgan4- We will be dressing up for Pirate's Night also. I'm thinking of costumes for the kids and blk. pants and a white shirt for me. DH will be happy with blk. dress shorts, white shirt and a pirate vest. How about you?

I actually sew a little bit, so I will be trying to do costumes for the whole family. We will see how they come out as to wether or not I will bring them. Husband is looking at blk pants, wht shirt, vest and sash. I will have capri pants, white shirt, girly vest and boots. If I get them all done, we should look very piratey.

Then, I started pulling for Michael Waltrip. Haven't had alot to celebrate recently.

We have been Tony Stewart fans since 2001 and started rooting for Denny Hamlin when my DH got to meet him at Homestead in 2005. They are both awesome drivers.
I think you will have a much better year with Mikey and Toyota. Especially since Gibbs went to Toyota also. He looked good last night.

It is fun because our families all root for someone different. Mark Martin, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Tony.

Hi All !!!! We just booked this cruise yesterday , It will be Me, DH and DS(8) this will be our 3rd DCL trip.

Welcome Zoom!! We have a DD that will be 8 by cruise time and DD(12).
This is our first cruise ever! We are very excited. We will be there with you with a drink in each hand.

We were avid watchers the first and second season. Then I got "lost" I watched last weeks episode and now I am hooked again.

We usually fly southwest or Usair. I don't know of anything bad about United. You should be just fine.

We are waiting on Southwest also. I wonder when they open up the schedule for Oct and Nov? They gave us a great deal Sept 06.

(If we can get reasonable airfare) I think we will be renting a car to go to and from Port. Found some for $35-45 one way.

We have ressie at the Raddison at the Port for the night B4.

I feel like I already know everyone since my DH (Gecko1) made me start at the beginning and read everyone's posts. I'm so excited about our upcoming cruise. Can you tell how excited I am? This is our first cruise EVER and from what I hear, we made the right decision for our first. I can't believe I'm actually a virgin again .

Morgan4: Seems like we may run into each other, hopefully, since we're staying at the same hotel prior, on the same meal rotation, and doing the same excursion on St. Maartin.

You guys made a wonderful move! This will be our forth. We are counting down also....270 days 6 hours 3 min. 15 sec. ROLFL..... Also another fun thing while you wait is buy a Passporter guide its fun to read and really gets you into the mood.

Yes and Yes! We love staying at the Hyatt. Its is so easy and starts the trip out with a bang.

Hi all:

Lilo-relocated: Will your DD be 10 by cruisetime (you list her age as 9). My DD9 (turning 10) is hoping to 'know' another 10 yr old girl before she boards.

We are staying at the Hilton airport on the night of the 6th (our flight gets in at 1am!!!!!!!!!) and then we're going to take a limo/towncar to the port the next day. We're going to get a place on the beach for the night (I'm leaning towards the Hilton, but not sure). Take a cab or something to the port. We also have several days post cruise to book. I need some beach time. Right now (looking outside the window at Canada's winter) all I can think about is being warm.

Once I get to Florida, I may never come back.

Fantastic Four: I listed the kids ages as those at the time of the cruise. DD will be nine next month and DS will have just turned 8 in Oct.

Hello guys! thanks for the welcome. We are also on the Second seating for dinner. I haven't researched about excursions yet, but for sure we'll do one that goes to the beach and of course shopping. Can't seem to make up my mind on where to stay the night before Hyatt or Radisson? , rental car, town car or Disney ? .

Lilo-relocated, does your son have/play nintendo ds? my son is addicted to this! he'll be 8 in Aug.

Can anyone recommend a good beach besides Orient in St. Martin? I was thinking Dawn or Le Gallion beach since I have the little ones. Any suggestions are appreciated. My husband and I were married in St. Thomas a little over 6 years ago so I'm ok there.


Just to throw this out there - would anyone be interested in getting a group together to go to the beer tasting, margarita-tequilla tasting etc? My dh and I would like to go and it would certainly been more fun with a group.

I hope all are doing well. The whole family is home today due to the ice storm that froze us in, here in southwest Indiana. The kids are loving it! They are outside sliding around our frozen yard. I hope I will be able to make it to work tomorrow. It's eating away my vacation time, and I have one coming up next month.

Lilo-relocated, does your son have/play nintendo ds? my son is addicted to this! he'll be 8 in Aug.

Both my kids have the Nintendo DS...Great for long trips. They both like Pokemon, Mario GoKart, and others. We are staying a cat4 on deck 8. It sounds like we have a great group of people traveling with us.

I looked and she last posted on July 7th.... You can PM her and see if all is ok.

I am hesitant to PM because I don't want to intrude. I just really hope all is well.

mimi'sgirl~ your post to me, did not sound rude at all. In fact I thought it was sweet, that you were thinking of offering us a ride. So you don't have to be sorry for anything, I am not upset at all.

Does anyone have early dinning? Or is it just us.

Lilo-Relocated~ We got a huge ice and snow storm too, that happened on Monday a.m. It was so bad that cars could not stay on the road, I almost turned around and went home on that day. But I figure work would come out and get me, that's what they tell me. As they don't like to give any snow days here. Being from MN, I am use to get a couple of snow days a year. But now that I live in SD, we get 0( or at least we have not had one since I have lived here, lived here for a little over a year). I bet your kids had a blast though playing in the ice and not having to go to school!
