Hello Everyone,

Things have been super quiet around here. What is everyone up to? Whats new? I am so excited to see my ticker has moved past five months. So much has been going on with our family. One of my little borthers graduated from HS and another from ELem school. ANd one from college. My little guy for the first time in 8years is spending the month of june with his dad for summer vacation. I have been feeling like I am loosing my mind without him. It has been he and I for so long. So I have been busy working more to pay for the trip and spending time with friends. But yet I havent been cleaning too much .

Anyway I just wanted to check in and say hello. Hope everyone is doing ok. Have a great day and rest of the weekend.

Hi Traci,

I am sure it is super hard for you to be without your DS but you will get through the month of June - I am sure you will . I will be alone soon as well - DH and DS are heading off to work at Boy Scout camp for the summer. If they do come home on the weekends it is a whirlwind to get all their laundry done so they can head back - they are not even home for 24 hours when they do come. DH wants to leave tomorrow and DS leaves on Tuesday - there is lots to do to get the camp ready for campers.

So I need to figure out my FE gifts - all this alone time will be a great time for me to get that taken care of. Now if I could just figure out what they will be. Nothing like having time and no ideas!

So we are empty nesters huh. Wow I didnt know it would be so hard. I miss him a lot. But everytime I call him he seems to be having a good time. SO not much I can do. I just hope the month goes by fast.

I have not even gotten my FE gifts together for the adults. I have the kids stuff already but not the adults. And my idea changes daily so still need to get that together.

Well glad that things are going ok for you. I hope you get thru this well too. Here is a hug for you too. Thanks for being so sweet.

Glad you are surviving the empty nest! My kids leave on the 22nd to go stay with their grandparents in Tennessee. Every year it so strange! This year it's only about 2 weeks though - and for 3 or 4 days I'll be in Vegas . Then home for a few, then DH and I are road-trippin' out to Tennessee! Our Labrador in tow. Should be fun. After visiting my inlaws we'll visit the Grand Canyon and assorted cheesy tourist sites on the drive back to California. Can't wait. I can hear the backseat arguing now.

School's almost out here... wahooooo! I've got company coming in as soon as it is out- so I've got to get ready! Not enough time in the day, it seems. Our trip seems so far away still... I am ready to be on that ship NOW!!!

Just a quick stop to say hello. They have all officially left for camp so Walter (our lab) and I are alone. Odd to say the least but maybe I can get some organizing and cleaning taken care of. I expect they will be home next weekend (06/20) but they will have to go back to camp dressed and ready for campers by noon on Sunday so it will be a very short visit.

Happy Friday everyone! Do you all have fun things planned for the weekend? I am alone this weekend with the campers working this weekend to get things ready for the arrival of scouts on 06/21. Last night was the first that I felt alone. My oldest DS and his DF will be back in town tomorrow so I am sure they will stop by (and maybe take more of their stuff to their new place) tomorrow or Sunday so I wont' be totally alone for the weekend. Walter (that choclate lab) is good company but not much of a conversationalist.

How very odd. Are any of you subscribed to this thread? I had been and just spent about 10 minutes trying to find it only to discover that somehow I had been unsubscribed. Fixed it so no worries but really weird. Now to go and find my other trip.....

I posted over on the tech board and I do think there was a problem earlier today. I had also looked in my cp and nothing was listed at that time. My checks are back (what a complainer I am not wanting to read titles to find our thread) and all is well.

I feel ya Traci. We finish school on the 25th and my DD starts Girl Scout Camp on the 29th for 2 weeks then off to NJ for remainder of summer to visit with my family. This will be second yr that she goes to NJ and I get so lonely when she doesnt call everyday but I know she has so much to do when she is there. I just need to get moving on get her passport before she leaves for summer. Hopefully I get moving on cruise stuff when she's gone.

OOOoooh, I'm gonna like you guys! Boston transplant here, living, mercifully, with a Philly native. Just try to picture that Eagles/Patriots Superbowl as it played out in my house!!!!
I've been in FL almost 2 years now, but always a Boston fan. I'm not even happy that the Magic beat the Celtics .....

Patriots fans are the greatest....but am originally a South Jersey native so the Eagles get my vote as long as their not playing NE. Tell your Philly native that Eagles are playing on our cruise. So Im packing my Eagles gear for the game.

Yeah, DH has already figured that out.... oh, and one of the families we're cruising with is coming from New Jersey so I'll have to suffer their Eagles enthusiasm, too. PLUS, I think my neighbors (here in FL, but they are from Philly) are repeat cruising with us now so MORE Eagles fans. Geez, I'll be lost in a sea of Eagles jerseys! LOL!

My family is the Jersey family. I've been transplanted to Boston. And my sister is die hard Patriots fan and refuses to wear anything Eagles. Knowing her she will still wear Patriots during an Eagles game. I don't mind who's playing as long as I have a drink in one hand. LOL!!!

Thanks for everyones warm wishes. It has been hard not having my son around. We talk everyday and this past weekend he came home and we went out of town to San Antonio for the weekend and we had a blast. I am however sun burnt. I hurt like no ones business. Hope everyone has a great day.
