We are finally having some summer weather here. Typically we are in the 80s and 90s, but the past few weeks have brought a lot of 60s and 70s (I love 70s too) and a lot of rain. It has been nice to not have to water the lawn and cool the house, but I am enjoying being able to spend more time outside. Now we are back to 80s and 90s.

We have less than 4-1/2 months to go now--hooray! I keep finding things that I think we "need" for the cruise. I'm about to order a few things for DD from Disneyshopping.com since they are having their sale. I'm afraid by the time it comes to pack, I'll realize that I have too much for her and we are trying to keep the packing to a minimum due to the extra fees for checking bags. I just have a hard time resisting cute things with Minnie and Mickey on them. Last week I found some cute Minnie Mouse fabric at JoAnns and I think I'm going to make her a bedspread or something with it. Maybe if I have extra of it I'll have to try making my own FE.

I know what u mean about the shopping. Every disney trip I go on I plan so far in advance so I buy a lot so far in advance. Then when it comes time for the trip I have way more that I need. Like u i can't resist anything Disney.

I should come and stay with you guys that have cool weather. Its terrible here. I think I might loose a few pounds just from sweating. I know TMI!!!

I'm glad your BF is coming Traci, that's awesome!!!
We are all doing well, Michael finished school today and is now off for the summer. He is going to go to camp for the summer (mainly just the days I work and if he wants to go the other days). It's a local camp for village residents and best of all it's free...nice that our taxes are paying for something. My DH finally got a job . I think I may have told everyone that already, the job is going well. Let's just hope this economy can hold on and his business will continue to do well. I would hate to have to go through unemployment again!!

I made my final cruise payment today when my 90 days are here I will be making my Palo/Excursion ressies pronto!!

Good Morning, All!

I got derailed from cruise chat by a 2 week trip of the upper midwest - Pittsburgh (wedding), Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, UP, Saginaw, Cedar Point, Cleveland and home. Now, I'm working on two wedding albums for bride and m.o.b, which I'd like to get out before the 4th, so I can go back to working on FE gifts.

Our friends, Nina & Julio and their two little girls (3 & 4) are joining us on this trip (1st Disney cruise) and I'm SO excited about that. Making a list of things to put in gift buckets for them . . . ideas will be welcome!

Glad to have everyone back to chat. It has been good to start talking and planning for the cruise again. We are off to the lake today to take out DBF new jetski and my son is so excited. I just think its so hot outside for this. But whatever makes everyone happy. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Time is counting down so much faster these days. Pretty soon it will be 3mths left.

Welcome aboard!

I made my first foray to the $$ store today - got two castle mold sandpails with shovels, some sand molds shaped like fish and seahorses, two blow up floaty rings, glow sticks, some bubbles, and a little bottle of spf 60 sunscreen.

Need to get cracking on my FE gifts - but seem to be too much in the scrapbooking mode. Last week I did 68 pages.

yesterdays party was fun - but there was WAY too much food. Fortunately, the hostess has 5 kids, so we just left all the leftovers there.

Today, we're having my former work colleagues, all retired engineers, for a cook out. Again, there will be too much food, but lots of fun too. Tomorrow, I will rest!

Anyone know if we tender or dock at St. Thomas?

Hope everyone had a fun 4th of July! We had a super fun pool party here at our house with a few neighbors - including the ones that are sailing with us again on this cruise. ( I'm still working on getting them to chat with us here). Unfortunately, I believe most of us spent today in recovery mode!

Anyone know if we tender or dock at St. Thomas?

The last time I checked (about a month ago), we should be docking. It depends how many ships are scheduled to be in the port that day - and I believe there are 3 docks at St. Thomas. Here is a website where you can check the ship's schedules by destination. I'm sure schedules are subject to change, but worth checking.
For St. Thomas, check under US Virgin Islands.
