November 5th 2011 Eastern on the Magic

Did you decorate the mini gingerbread house in Studio Sea? We always sign up to do that activity. I love watching the families working together at it.
Lots of fun.

Kathy

No, it wasn't offered on our cruise. Maybe this one, it will be!

We did a little research on shore excursions last night - we're leaning towards the St. John's tour and then maybe a little wandering on St. Maartin.

Our goal tomorrow is to get a good start on fish extender gifts!

Are you thinking about the St. Johns Island tour or the beach excursion??

We are doing the island tour. We have done it before and its a nice excursion. Our son has never been to St. Johns so we are going so he can see it. We are doing it in the morning, cant remember the time. Maybe we might be on the same tour??

Dont wait too long to book excursions, a few of them are full already.

We video taped the ceremony and in the back ground you hear all kinds of girgling baby noises. It was from this young lady.;) Our youngest grandaughter MaryAnn

Everyone laughing at the dog burping during the ceremony.

Post Office on Castaway Cay. if you plan on sending post cards fromthere, remember to bring some cash, since thats all they take. It does *** tmore than normal postage. Plus it usually takes 3 to 4 weeks to receive your post card. It will have a cool Castaway Cay Post mark, so you might want to mail one just for a souvenir.

Happy Friday!!!

Great pictures everyone. Love Pixie! That is so cute. Any plans for the weekend for everyone? My kids are with their dad so I have the weekend to myself and I am not on call either! Not too sure what to do with myself.... I do know I will be cleaning the kids rooms when they are not there with a large garbage bag in tow!

I should be on here and there this weekend... Love looking at the pictures!

Tanya :)

Hi Tanya,

We will be home this weekend too accpet to get a frew groceries.
No special plans now until vacation:cool1:

I got one door sign printed off and for some reason there are light vertical lines in the picture?? It has never done that before.
I hate to print another until I figure out the problem. Printer or photo??

Kathy

I've been enjoying all the pictures - both wedding and cruise!

We're looking at the island tour. We've only been to St. Thomas once before and did the cable car up (although truth be told, if there's time after the excursion, you'll probably find me up at the top - camera in one hand and mudslide in the other!). My aunt is coming down to visit next weekend, so we'll make our final decisions and book then. If it's no longer available, que sera, sera... There are still many other fun options available to fill the day!

My guess is printer - that's what mine does when the ink starts getting low. Normally you don't notice it unless you're doing something with heavy graphics. If the picture looks fine on the screen, then you can be fairly certain it's the printer.

Michelle

Hi Michelle,
I thought the same thing accept I just put all new ink cartridges in it yesterday and i printed off 12 photos before my door sign and they were perfect. So it is very confusing.

Should be plenty of time to do the tram after the Island tour. I know we plan on grabbing lunch on the ship afterwards, then get back off, grab a taxi to Havensite mall (across from the tram) and shop a bit.

Or we may walk to it. Our papers show us tendering but now on line it shows us docking at Crown Bay Dock which is about 1 1/2 miles from Havensite mall.

So we shall see what happens. Crown Bay is usually for the Navy ships and Holland America ships to dock. I am hoping not to tender, just for convenience of getting on and off the ship.

TGIF!!!! After a long week, its time for a break. I'm packing for WDW this weekend and also see if i can print a couple of magnets. Plus DH is off this weekend (he traded work days) so maybe we will go on a date, and see a movie, my boss gave me free passes!
Its nice to hear that i will have lots of great neighbors!!! I am very excited about our room, i have never stayed in one with a verandah before.
gma Kathy: sounds like a printer issue. Does your printer have a cleaning cycle? Or you can take out the cartrdiges by hand and wiping them down in case of dust. If the ink is not low that is.
Okay so quick picture and story:
This is Charlie, my new boyfriend
IMG_2049.jpg

He is a Victorian Crowned Pigeon (Disney also has some on the jungle trek). He is the newest addition to the area i work at the zoo. Apparently I am super good looking, because the whole time i was cleaning his exhibit he followed me around preforming a mating call. And he does not do this for everyone, he has been there two weeks and this was the first time. It is always nice to know when you are still attractive. :rotfl2:

Charlie looks like a great looking boyfriend to me. Maybe you could slip him some extra bird seed.;) Hope your DH doesnt find out about him.:lmao:

All kidding aside that is really funny he took a liking to you. Did you have on some perfume or bright colors? Sometimes scent as well as colors can attract them.

Kathy

Not sure if my printer has a cleaning cycle? We havnt had it too long. I will check into it though. Thanks for the idea.

Back later tonight.

Hey I dont have to cook tonight:goodvibes
My son is making spaghetti. He is cooking the meatballs on the BBQ, then adding the sauce to them in a pan and let it simmer on the BBQ for the flavors to meld together. Plus toasting garlic bread on the BBQ too.

Now if I could just get my guys trained to wash the dishes they would be perfect :worship::worship::worship:

Kathy

it may also be your printer settings. if your printer is set for an ink saver or economy mode it will cause those white lines. ours did it but it isn't real noticeable so we are going with it.

Loved the pictures from everyone-looking forward to meeting all of you, Michelle. We have not cruised since 1998, so will love hearing stories from all you experienced travelers!
The bride and groom looked so happy, Gma Kathy. Weddings are wonderful:love: I have to stop looking at your dog pictures, though. We had made up our minds not to get another dog for a while, but my resolve weakens a little every time I see one of yours!
Alyssa, you have the best volunteer job! Maybe I need to volunteer at the animal shelter and get my dog fix. Enjoy your date weekend! Tanya, I hope you have a nice, relaxing weekend. And just think, everyone, in six weeks we'll all be packed and ready to go (or in some cases, already there!). :)

I thought this was funny. Pixie sound asleep with her tongue hanging out.
Do any of your dogs sleep like this too??

Kathy

Kathy, My one dog Nash used to sleep with his tongue hanging out all the time. Unfortunately Nash died in December at the age of 12:sad1: We miss him so much,:sad1:

But we do have our other pup Shadow

I would be so excited if the ship is decorated for Christmas. We have been to WDW and on the DCL over the Halloween season, but never close enough to Christmas to see the holiday decorations!

I called about Emma's passport this morning and they had recieved and said they would update the SSN, so hopefully we are all set and Emma will get her passport in the next few weeks:thumbsup2

Claire,
It looks like Nash (who is a cutie) slept with his eyes open too?

My other dog sleeps with her eyes open and tongue out a long ways. It drives me crazy when her eyes are open when she is alseep.:rotfl2:
