WELCOME: to Michelle, Vicki and Eve, Its a small but fun group!
Very Long day to today, spent the morning fending off the tears because today is NOT TUESDAY, and we are not going on vacation. 2yr olds do not have a good understanding of time. Every time we get in the car they think we are going to the castle..... Plus one of the two girls had an accident today as we got to the childrens museum. Nothing like running from the car inside only to not quite make it. Potty training is very tiring.
So sadly no castmember discount for this cruise . So my parents are thinking SA since they are still open, using some rewards points i think. However, they have to wait until at least OCT. 1, to find out my sisters schedule and if she can come. I'm am praying! I get to see my parents fairly often but my sister, i usually only get to see her once or twice a year (although we talk all the time). I will get to see her in a week, but she is working the whole time, so we won't get to really hang out, hopefully she can come.
Kathy (LTR): So glad your DH made it safe!
wtgillian: I think we need to add: Adult who acts Most Like a Kid, i bet it would be a hard choice.

So question for all those coming, Is anyone writing trip reports? I have found myself quite obsessed with reading them. Also after the cruise are we posting pictures on this forum from the trip?

I voted for the MAGIC because we talked about changing it to Island Cruisers.....which I like better.

And we are now away of who the weirdo of the group....Do we need a vote on the
"Beach Chair Hog."
"Over dressed for formal night"
"Most likely to miss the boat?"
"Most likely to order multiple entrees?"
"Most gracious tipper."
"Most likely to get a call from home saying the toilet is clogged?"

Anything else we can come up with?

All I can say is thank goodness I am just the" weirdo", thats so much better than being the one who missed the ship or lost the passport


TIP:
It is a good idea to make a photo copy of your passport to carry with you on the islands and leave the real one in the safe, so in an emergency you have the information handy.

Thnaks for the photos, that brightens up the day

now for your question,
I always write a TR with lots of photos. I make notes each night before I go to bed of what we did or saw during the day so I dont forget things or get them confused with a different days events.
My camera goes with me everywhere on the ship.

Plus I do post a few of my favorite photos on the thread, especially if I have good ones of my friends on the thread, in case they may want a copy.

And most people will post they made it home safely.

Who will gain the most weight from all the food available?
Maybe not that question, everyone would tie on it.
Who is the biggest Disney fan?

Thanks for the welcome to everyone! I'm only about 5 pages in, so not everything y'all are talking about makes sense, but hopefully tonight I can make some real inroads into the thread and by next Monday be in the thick of things!

Actually, this will be my 8th cruise, Mom's 4th and Eve's 3rd. We are planning to join the FE (if it's not too late, my January cruise closed really early for participants, so I'm much more aware of that now). And, I'll send that PM to you with e-mail info.

By your signature area I assume this is your 2nd DCL cruise?

We have a cruise mates list with all our names on it and I will add your group today. If you send me a PM I with your e-mail addres I will send you a copy.

It also has alist of everyone who is doing the FE. If you've doen a crusie meets thread for DCL you probably know what this is already. If not please ask and someone here will explain.

I usually do trip reports for family. I only post about half the time on the boards, though... I am very excited, we have a new laptop in the family so I'll be able to work on the trip report much more efficiently during the cruise. Usually I scribble out notes at night and try to remember what I meant by them a week or two later.

I logged in today and found out that y'all have snapped up all the Palo reservations! Oh well, I was lucky with Remy in January, if I keep watching, maybe I'll get lucky with Palo in November, too!

Hi Michelle,

Plenty of time to join the FE. Will be watching for your PM.

Also on the Welcome Aboard paper they give you at check in there is always the name of a club and a time to go and make Palos reservations or to change dining times.
Go there immediatly upon boarding. Its a very good chance you can get Palos then. They always save a few that you cant book on line and people do cancel once aboard to.

I think we should nominate people after the cruise. Thats the only way we can get to know people to make the best judgement.

I have copied and posted all the ideas so far . I will add them to the CM list for everyone to have a copy. I will continue to add all the suggestions everyone comes up with.
If they want they can print it off and bring on the cruise, then add peoples names by each category as the week goes on. Then post it when we return.

Vicki here. Michelle's (MRP435) mom. We just got our room assignment - 5134. We have a lot to do in just 6 weeks. The good news is it makes the time go by quicker. My sister travels with us, she is looking forward to a week of relaxing. She is a new Grandmother to twin boys! I'm enjoying reading your past posts, sounds like a fun group! Our "must due" this trip is the late night dessert buffet. Somehow we have missed it the last couple of cruises. TTFN!
