Yay, we are HOME!! Oh my goodness, that was the longest drive ever. What should have been a 5 - 5 1/2 hour drive turned out to be an 8 1/2 hour drive.

We decided that everyone, along with their aunts, uncles, cousins, and neighbors were ALL driving up from the Oregon Coast to Seattle at the same time.

There was SO much traffic coming from the Oregon Coast to Seattle.... but I guess it is a Sunday on an August weekend, so this is probably the best month out of the year to visit the Oregon Coast. Anyway, glad we are home safe and sound!
I quickly read through the posts from the last few days. Looks like everyone is doing great!
Lyn, I LOVE your family photo! The 3 of you are such a nice looking family.

And, like I said in an earlier post, I love the red hair!
Kathy (Gma X4), I, myself, did not take any pictures from this weekend because Eric's (my DH) aunt is one of those people who was born with a camera in her hand... so she is always snapping photos. So, she takes a ton of pictures, and then sends them to everyone sometime after the reunion is over.
But, it was a great reunion. This reunion has been happening in August for years and years. This year, there were 5 generations present!! Amazing. Great Grandma is 97 years old, and not doing well at all, this will probably be her last reunion... so it was a special reunion for the whole family since she is the last of her generation... but it was so neat to have 6 month old Great Grand Baby there for Great Grandma.

Although, she was too weak to hold her great grand baby, but we got some pictures of them together. Anyway, it was a busy reunion, and all of us are totally exhausted, but exhausted for a good reason.
Oh, Kathy (Gma X4), I love the food pictures you posted! Yum!! I LOVE
DCL's food!!
We have our very close friends from California coming to visit us tomorrow - Tuesday night, SO I won't be online while they are here... so you won't hear much from me until Tuesday night or Wednesday... been a busy, but fun week for us.
Once they leave, I think the rest of our August should be pretty calm... of course, I'm probably jinxing myself by even saying that.
I am off to bed... soooo tired!
Take care,
Kathy
