November 5th 2011 Eastern on the Magic

We are thinking of going a day early to enjoy the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. We have never been and thought it would be a good chance to try it. We are also thinking of booking the Palo brunch, has anyone tried it before?

I haven't had the Palo brunch, but I have heard great things. Do you know how you book it?

Just booked!
A Handicap accessible cabin opened up so i grabbed it immediately (for my mom's needs)
Me,my Mom,my brother (who looks after my mom) and my DD10.

We just booked as well.

Now can we get time to speed up until the cruise then can we have time stop like on the movie Groundhog Day?

Has anyone decided on which excursions to do, if at all? We are thinking we want to snorkel in St. Thomas/St. John, go to the beach in St. Maarten, and then just hang out at CC.

St Thomas - Beach maybe - With 6 ships in dock its going to be a zoo there so an excursion might be better here

St Marteen - Beach near town and then walk around

CC - Beach - fun - whatever

I think we are going to book a day trip on Random Wind in St. Maarten. It looks FABULOUS! I'm just worried about getting back to the boat on time, scared to death really. We are first time cruisers and I feel like this is a big step for not having ever done a cruise before. Of course my DH is all "whatever, it will be fine...."

My family and I will be on this cruise. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise. So far we have taken a 3 day and a 4 day. This will be our first long cruise and are very excited about having a REAL vacation.

Our family:

Me - 38 Jon
DW - 39 Becca
DS - 10 Blake
DD - 8 Rachael

We too booked this cruise during our last cruise in Oct 2010.

Can anyone recommend excursions for a family with kids 8 and 10 for our ports of calll?

Come on NOV!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic! We have a (will be) 7 yr old DD and I was hoping someone would come on with a child her age. Will your DD be checking out the Oceaners Lab? My daughter cannot wait for it.

As for excursions, I just put a deposit down for one in St. Maarten

The Trip Advisor reviews are fantastic, we are really excited about it

This is our first cruise so I feel like taking a non-DCL excursion is a risk, but we aren't new to doing excursions while on vacations (Mexico, Jamaica, Barbados) so we are going to do it.

As for St. Thomas, we are looking at the Doubloon Turtle Cove & Snorkel, or the Full Day Caribbean Sail And Snorkel To Turtle Cove And Honeymoon Beach. The ones we really would have liked to do, our DD isn't old enough for.

We are going with our daughter 6 and son 4. They both will be in the camp. They do not know they are going on a Disney cruise yet until the day we board the ship.

We are all set to Sail!! This will be our first cruise ever! We are celebrating my graduation from Grad School!! Who else is going to be celebrating with us?

We will be on this cruise. This is our 4th Disney Cruise! :beach:

Me - Craig 53
DW - Lyn 48
DS - Brandon 10 now, will celebrate 11th Birthday on November 8th, on the Cruise! :bday:

Can't wait for November 5th! :yay:

Is there anyone on here from Reston, VA whose DD just finished magic camp? My DD met a girl in her camp who said she was also sailing on DCL in Nov this year and I know that they seem to have a similar situation in VA as in NJ this year where the kids are only in school for two days the week that we are sailing. So I'm wondering & hoping if we'll be on the same cruise?!

Howdy everyone,

Just booked this cruise today:woohoo:
My name is Kathy and DH is Greg also our adult son Peter (29) will be joining us for this awesome adventure. The other kids and grand kids are not coming this time.

It will be our 21st Disney cruise and I think Peters 4th?? Also we have done one Carnival cruise, which was a diaster:headache:

Looks like from what i just read here some are thinking a FE exchange, Sounds great to me, thats always lots of fun. My FE is packed so I may be using a decorated shopping bag but it works just the same:thumbsup2

Is anyone in charge of a list of who is particpating yet?
Is there a meet scheduled yet so we can all meet face to face?
Is there a list of everyone coming yet?
We are spending a few days at WDW before the cruise, anybody else going to be there too? Would love to meet up if you are.

Can you tell I am excited!!!:banana:

I will warn you I am the type to be here everyday posting and trying to get everyone else to post too. It's always been so much fun meeting the people from these boards that I always stir things up a bit to get people active.:rotfl:

I am off to look at excursions but will probably be back this evening to see if anyone has answered my questions.

If nobody has started any of the above mentioned lists I am happy to help. Just let me know.

Time to get this thread to moving. The cruise will be here before you know it.

Well I just found out that my employer is closing our site in December and moving all our jobs elsewhere. So, I am having to cancel the cruise. We were all so looking forward to going on this trip. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful time out in the Caribbean.:sad1:

Sorry to hear your leaving before we even got aquainted.:sad2:
Hope you get to cruise soon.

Where is everyone on this thread today?? Might quiet here.
I am on the West Coast so many of you are 3 hours ahead of me.

I will check back in a couple hours and again in the morning.

Tonight we check out excursions because we paid in full today.:woohoo:

Looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Anyone making door signs besides me??

Kathy

Hi Kathy!
I would love to do a meet and greet!!! I'm getting married on this cruise (can you tell I am excited?) I have a total of 18 guests, so it is going to be a special vacation. I will be at Disney World beginning on the 3rd. Anyone who wants to see a wedding, go to deck 8 aft on the third night (we are trying to get it to the 2nd night, so it may change)
