November 4th, 2007 Disney Wonder Roll Call

Hi Kris! :wave2: We are in rm. 7536 so you can add another one to deck 7!

We haven't received our documents and are still listed as a GTY stateroom.

We have 11:00 Palo Brunch.:yay: :woohoo:

So, Kris, are you organizing a quick get together so the Disboarder's and Joe :rolleyes1 can meet and say hi?

Is anyone doing the secret green shirt thing???

No documents today :sad1: . So I decided to call my TA. She still hasn't mailed them!!!!! And to make matters worse, she is sending it to me through DHL Ground Mail which should take 3-6 days:mad:

She just sent me the tracking number so I will be checking it religiously till they are safely in my hands.

Wow ChrisLei, I'd probably be really upset with my travel agent. She should have sent those to you as soon as she got them. I hate not having "my stuff" in "my hands" and having to wait for someone else to do what they are supposed to do. (does that make sense). Hopefully DHL will rush them thru. I know you will be extra happy when you finally get them.:woohoo:
Let us all know when they are safely with you.

Nobodycares: Wellll.....................I guess I could set something up.
On our last(first) cruise, we met on the secret deck on deck 7. It was a good place and we were the only ones there. The "secret" deck is all the way aft(back of the ship) on deck 7. At the very back past the last rooms on deck 7 there is a door that goes out onto an open "verandah" type area that has lounge chairs and is fairly large. It is really easy to get to.
We could try something around 3:15/3:30. That would give us enough time for a short meet and still get back to our rooms to get ready for the muster drill, and I would imagine most would be onboard by 3:30.

We could also plan a get together at, say the Cadillac Lounge or Diversions, for a little adult get away time for those of you with kids for one of the evenings. Zak's Pack2 and I have a date for a shot of Tequila, remember (I'm holding her to that):rolleyes1 .

Let me know what you all think. I am up for suggestions for an alternative meeting place.

what is the secret green shirt thing???????????:confused3

Yes, What is the Secret Green Shirt Thing?

Henlady,
Your ideas are great. I would love to still do a tasting like we discuss a while back. I am on vacation Yeh!!!

13 more days and I am starting to stress out because I have so much to do.

Hope I get it all done. Is the decorating of your door a big thing on the ship ?

Do you all do this when you are on DCL.

Stephanie :cheer2:

I'll try to make it out to secret deck 7 at 3:15/3:30. Hopefully we will be on board by then. Our flight gets in at something like 12:50.

I read on the boards that lime green is the dis-board color. People on other cruises have worn lime green shirts so that they can spot/identify themselves as a fellow dis'er. In my overplanning, I of course did find a lime green shirt so if you see me at the sail away party, say Hi!!

Also went to Home Depot and picked up some of the Mickey Head paint chip samples and am trying to figure out what to do with them. May put them on our luggage as an extra identifyer. I'm trying to make something for my lanyard with a lime green mickey head.

Didn't bother making door decorations this time out - as we are on Deck 1 - very low traffic area.

DH finally started pre-packing. Of course, I am still shopping and preparing and researching. DD is very excited and can't wait to go.

Am thinking about rebooking on board for next year already - looking at the 7day western.

As if I didn't already have enough going, looks like we have to also remember to adjust for Daylight Savings time on November 4th.

So if we "fall back" an hour that means that even if I forget, I'll still be early, right??

DH and I had this discussion last night, so yeah, you either get more time or show up early, sounds like a win win to me, better than springing forward and losing the hour.

We still don't have an assigned cabin, I'm thinking we may not until we check in at the port. Oh well, at least we're on the ship.

Last night we were talking at this time in 2 weeks we will be on the Disney Wonder.:cool1:

Hope you find out good news when your cabin is finally assigned Tyedye.

I waited and waited and peeked at my reservation all the time but no upgrade. I followed the advice on the boards- book what you wanted and don't expect an upgrade so I wasn't too disappointed. (OK, I was secretely very, very disappointed. I wanted a complete audit of all of the upgrades to make sure nobody from cat 11 or 12 was upgraded higher than my cat 10 because that just isn't fair in my eyes! {rant over})

I've got to start ironing the clothes for the trip :laundy: so that they can get wrinkled in the suitcases.
:rotfl2:

I'm so there with the audit!:) I just didn't want to spend another $200X2 rooms to have a window. I'd rather enjoy using that money for drinks etc!

I'm happy about the daylight savings! No excuse for tired kids in the morning and we can easily make it to the port "early".

So who all is planning on booking another cruise while on board?

ARE TAYING AT THE POP CENTURY BEFORE OR AFTER THE CRUISE?:cheer2:

My son and I are staying at Pop for 3 nights after the Cruise... We love it there!! He loves the arcade and spends a lot of time....and money there! We are staying at Royal Plaza by Downtown Disney for 2 nights before the cruise...never stayed there before...but have heard since the remodel they did it is very nice!

We are there after the cruise. We wanted to do the 4 day cruise and we have to follow a "regular" calendar week when it comes to holidays with DH's work.

I only have four more days until vacation!! YAY! We'll be at Pop starting 10/29...then the wedding on 10/31....Polynesian that night....then the three-night cruise- then we'll be meeting you guys on the 4th!!! I'm so excited!!!

For those of you considering Atlantis....I just got a weekly Travelzoo and they have a special for $129 ( plus tax, housekeeping etc) for a room right at Atlantis. (yes it includes when we are there!) Any ideas on what the housekeeping fees etc are?
