November 29, 2013 - 5 Nights of Magic in the Western Caribbean!!

I'm debating between the Fury Catamaran or going to Paradise Beach on Cozumel. I was thinking Mr. Sanchos, but I think my kids would like the big pool at Paradise Beach better. If we decide not to snorkel, we'll go with Paradise Beach. I'm a little afraid the Fury Catamaran will be too crowded.

On GC, we're planning to do the jet ski to Stingray City.

Hello everyone!! Just a quick question. Is everyone doing an excursion at our stops? If so, which one? We will probably not do anything at Cozumel as we've been there enough and will most likely just do some quick shopping and then enjoy the ship. But, we have not been to Grand Cayman in some time and are still undecided. Thoughts/ideas?

We are doing the beach day at GC and my DH is diving at Cozumel. I'm staying on the ship. We are going to Asia in early January so we are trying to conserve funds. We have been to Cozumel before so I'm happy to stay on the ship and read and plan my next vacation lol

Turtle farm on GC and then Seven Mile Beach .. Cozumel is Nachi Cocum...

I really wanted to do Nachi Com but my DH has always wanted to scuba. I guess we will have to take another cruise later. ;)

Magic bands?

I think they are going to WDW either before or after the cruise. Magic Bands are part of the new FP+ Program at WDW. Your park tix are on the bands. You can also schedule your FP before you go and the tix for FP are programmed on the bands as well. Cool! They may have to consider FP for the Aqua Dunk lol......not.....

Hello everyone!! Just a quick question. Is everyone doing an excursion at our stops? If so, which one?

We have a reservation for "Rays, Reef, & Rum Point" with Native Way Watersports in GC, and in Cozumel we will take a cab to Paradise Beach :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We are thinking of switching our plans in Cozumel from Mr. Sanchos to Paradise Beach for two reasons, Im reading that Mr. Sanchos may be more of a "party" atmosphere, which I'm not necessarily opposed to but dont want my kids subject to seeing anything too outrageous and I'm second guessing the AI option as I think we will be eating and drinking enough on the ship. Ive looked over on CC, but if anyone has any experience with either, I'd love to hear them. I'd also love to find others who are doing beach days that day. Izzy would love to have a "friend" from the ship to hang out with.
TIA! OMG, Three more weeks!!

We went to Paradise Beach a few years ago! It was nice, not crowded, and the pool was awesome! There was a lot of coral as you walked in the ocean to get to the play equipment, but that didn't stop the kids from playing on it. This year, we are going to Nachi Cocom. Our friends went there and said it was awesome and all food and drink is included in price! They only allow a certain number of guests in each day so it doesn't get over crowded.

Getting so excited!! :cool1:

Us too! Noticed you have a DD11... Macy is 12 and Jaden 15 so maybe they can hang out on the beach!

A nice person on the FB page wants to join the FE. I let her know it was closed but a couple of us are adding her to our list as I myself don't have my FE gifts finished yet so adding them to my list is no big deal
I am not sure she is on here but since they are new to DCL I feel it is right to share pixie dust and add them. :thumbsup2
If you are so inclined to add them to your list here is their info
Vella Flores her husband Vincent DD Matalyn age 7 and DS Jax 3 cabin 7504

Yes, my dd is 11 and that would be fun to have someone her age to hang out with! I can't believe we are almost at 2 weeks!!:beach:

At least we offered the pixie dust!!:thumbsup2

I was originally going to go with a Thanksgiving theme for FE gifts and stateroom door magnets.......but it has been brought to my attention that the ship is all decked out for Christmas........:santa:
So inquiring minds want to know....:wave2:
Is your family going with Thanksgiving theme or Christmas/Holiday theme???:confused3

I'm glad to see more people from our group planning to visit Paradise Beach. Our daughter Ashley is also 12 and Matthew is 10. We were there on our last cruise in January and had a good time. Kids loved their big heated pool and it wasn't overcrowded at all. Counting days :banana::banana:

I was going to ask the same question!!! When we originally booked, we thought this was going to be a Thanksgiving one... but I am leaning towards Christmas.

We're doing Christmas shirts, Christmas Mickey Head door magnet etc.
As for FEs, my SIL is in charge of ours! Lol.

Magic bands?
Hi Sorry for the confusion... we are going to WDW the week before the cruise. It's our first time to do the Magic bands so we're excited.

We're also putting final touches on excursions. We're doing a tour with an external vendor in GC which includes: Island Tour, Turtle Farm, Stingray + 7 mile beach which we're trying to change to Rumpoint.

For Cozumel, we're doing Cozumel Ruins + Beach thru Disney.

It's our first time on both islands. Our constraint is that we have a 2 and a 4 year old so our options are limited.

Ordered cruise shirts, and FE (the last FE I had, I still had 3 kids, so I need a new one). FEs are underway.

We only have 2 weeks left before our trip since we'll be in WDW on Sunday. I'm too busy at work to be obsessively excited -- but I am excited!

Snow and very cold here too :( boo! Can't wait to head south in two weeks from tonight !

First snow of the season yesterday (Monday) for us here too in Chicago. I will be in VA next week then FL in less than 2 weeks. So yahoo!
