I'm pretty sure it's a law that you must visit a park either pre-cruise, post-cruise, or both when cruising out of PC. We're not looking forward to the crowds, but we don't mind just walking around and watching shows/listening to music. When we went in March (both DL and WDW) it was uber packed and we didn't even really ride anything at all at WDW, we just did the shows and what not. Being within driving distance of WDW is one of the reasons we moved to GA--we really miss AK, but it's awesome being able to drive to WDW for the weekend!
Random cruise comment: I wonder if there'll be galley tours available on this cruise...

Are you local that you will be driving to Galveston on the day of the cruise or are you spending a night in a hotel on the island? That will make a difference on the parking tips. Actual parking at the port you have the Port of Galveston and Lighthouse parking lots, there may be others. You can prepay(saves $5 or $10 I think) and that reserves you a spot.
I agree this thread is a little mellow and could use some excitement-Let's get it started. The last DCL cruise we had spreadsheets of so many activities, tons of drink classes beer, whisky, wine, champagne, martini . . . we also had a meet and greet, pen pals for the kids ahead of time, ornament exchange. There are lots of options. I would love to participate in a recipe exchange or ornament exchange so if I missed that these are set up let me know. Oh, we're also brininging friends who are first time DCL cruisers! Has this group come up with a Theme name for our sailing?
