Hi, All!

This is my first time on the boards and first cruise so I'm not quite sure how all of this works...bear with me!! I look forward to learning more and getting to know all of you!

There will be 3 of us:

Olivia (5)
Richard (42)

We will be celebrating my 40th, Olivia's 5th, and the completion of my Ph.D.. Also, if all goes well, there will be weight loss to celebrate too!!

I was reading a cruise report and found out there is a Castaway Cay 5K run. Has anyone done this before?

My favorite things are when people bring items that are typically from their area - you are from Australia, right? Maybe a candy bar that you have there that we wouldn't have in the states . . .

Just booked today!

We will be celebrating my dad's 90th birthday and my mom being done chemo - so this will be a very special cruise for us.

We are from Mt. Royal, NJ.

This will be Brian's an my 10th Disney Cruise and first on the Fantasy. (Carina's 5th and my parents 4th).

I see there are some children the same age as Carina, which is great!

I was reading a cruise report and found out there is a Castaway Cay 5K run. Has anyone done this before?

My husband ran it in November 2009. It was not too hot, and he enjoyed it. He said he would not do it in the summer months due to the heat, but November was bearable. You used to start running right off the ship, but I think they have changed it to starting at Pelican Point tram stop (maybe?). We are on the Dream the end of April and Brian may run it again - so I can give a report in a month.

Welcome! My daughter Allie will be almost 8 on this cruise (she turns 8 in January) and it will be her 5th Disney cruise as well. How spoiled are these kids?

I have also been reading about the Castaway 5K. I am just now working towards my first 5K so I will see if I can keep up the running until November. If I can I might be there too.

I have also been reading about the Castaway 5K. I am just now working towards my first 5K so I will see if I can keep up the running until November. If I can I might be there too.

I hope that you can join us as long as our joints still work by then. I haven't ran since the late 70's and my wife Karen has never. We just went from brisk walking to slow jogging. All is good so far!

my sister has done it... She loved it but did it on first stop at CC but did not on second stop of DoubleDip.... after eating all week not sure if i could do it..

Looks like we're about a week and a half away from Frontier releasing flight fares for the trip down (2 and a half for the return flight).

I live near Hershey - so I'll wait as long as I have to to get a decent fare, non-stop from Harrisburg and not have to travel to Philly or Baltimore

I am waiting for Southwest out of Raleigh.......
