***November 2016 check in***

We'll be there 11/28-12/3, staying at the Anabella. I'm a little nervous about the hotel since I don't see anyone ever discussing it on the DIS, but a friend stayed there and said it was great.:confused3

We went to DL in 2013, but I'm considering this my family's first "official" trip since my son, then 8 months, is now 4 and just hit 42 inches this week, thank you Jesus!! My daughter is 7 now and tall enough to do every ride!
It's our first time going around the holidays, and we're suprising the kids the night before we leave. Lots to be excited about!

58 days until we walk through the gates!!!!
I've heard good things about this hotel.

We went last December after our oldest turned 3 and he was 39"! Such a bummer! This year he's at least 40" which I'm ecstatic about!

So excited that I can finally say our trip is "next month"! Coming from Australia from November 14-23 staying at PVI. Only our second trip to DLR, but we've also been to the Hong Kong and Paris parks. Eventually we'll tick them all off, but DLR will always be my favourite I think! We've planned this one specifically to see the Christmas decorations and I can't wait!

Anyone else notice the long hours for the week after Vet's Day and the races? M-Th (14-17) are 9am-9pm. Two years ago during this week, it was 10am-8pm. And Friday the 18th opens up earlier than the hours for Veteran's Day the week before!!! I guess Disney believes the 60th crowds haven't subsided and we're in for a busy week. Shoot! I was hoping for light crowds. But if we get more hours in the park, I'll take that. Maybe with those long hours, they'll give us Paint the Night, too!

Our trip is Nov 7-9. I noticed the schedule includes times WOC and shows but not Parades. Does that mean there likely will not be any parades those days? :eeyore: i was really looking forward to an afternoon parade while we're there.

Just got back from a big week long visit at DLR with the whole family and I loved it so, so much!! I am officially an Annual Passholder now, and I desperately want to see DLR at Christmastime, but with the kids school and husband's work, it just wasn't going to happen this year...HOWEVER, I decided to do a SOLO trip!! My initial disappointment has turned into total excitement. I never do anything without my kids and while so much of the Disney magic comes from seeing their reactions and their faces - I miss out on a lot because I'm always so focused on the kids needs. The idea of strolling through the park, riding whatever rides I want, stopping in for a hot sandwich and soup and people watching...I'm just so excited. Due to vision issues, I knew I wouldn't be able to drive by myself (I'm about 4 hours up the coast from DLR), but I found great rates on the amtrak that will take me to Anaheim, along the Pacific Coast Highway. It'll be nice and peaceful (I hope!!). Anyways, I tentatively booked the Grand Legacy for Nov 13-15. We stayed at DLH this last week and I absolutely LOVED it - but I just can't justify the cost if it's only me, ya know? Anyways, I'm also hoping to book the Holiday Tour. The costs associated with it are much less scary when it's 1 person vs 4!

The dreaded news about the Tower of Terror forced me to book a trip "home" November 5-7th. We'll be staying at the Disneyland Hotel. I'm so excited about Dapper Day!! I've been attending at least one seasonal Dapper Day for the past 4 years or so.

ToT is my dd5's favorite ride, she'll be sad to see it go!
Did you get dapper day hotel rate?

Whew! i think i have everyone updated now! Sorry for the delay. This is it. I leave after 4 nights. There's no way I'll update again. Thanks everyone! Have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be at the park in a week. I may just sneak in Friday night with my AP. Woo hoo!

Got my hotel all figured out. Decided to "splurge" and stay on site at PPH. I want to go back to DLH, but I just can't justify the cost difference. I'm really only kind of paying for onsite to utilize the MM. Anyways, I also booked the holiday tour for 11/14 as well as the WOC Dessert Party the same evening! Eeeeek!!!

Less than 3 weeks! I'm trying to decide what I want to do with myself the morning DH goes to ESPNzone to watch football (it's my team's bye week, otherwise I would go too!) I'm thinking single ride as much as I can with a nice breakfast at Jolly Holiday.

Okay guys. Less than 30 days out. I'm trying to figure out what type of food to bring for breakfasts as we're doing this trip on a budget and we don't want to waste money on breakfast. I need something that will last in the car all day on our first day and that we can have enough of to last us for at least 3/4 of our vacation days. Must be nut and egg free due to my son's dietary restrictions. I was thinking banana muffins, but I think my kids will get sick of those after a couple of days. Anything else that would make a good quick breakfast? I don't want to go to McDonalds or buy breakfast in the parks as it gets pricey. We'll do breakfast one day because my kids love the Mickey pancakes, but that's my limit on buying breakfasts.

Oatmeal packets
Breakfast bars
Granola bars

Costco has Shelf stable chocolate milk. Maybe they have white too? Then add cereal

Stop near the hotel and get some microwaveable breakfast sausage or the like. Yogurt.
