November 2015 Discounts?

We just booked three nights at a Disney resort for Thanksgiving 2015 (11/25-28/2015). Because we are Florida residents the Disney reservations agent said we should keep an eye out during the year for Florida resident rates on the nights we are booked. When are those rates announced? I didn't think discounts applied during peak times such as Thanksgiving.

Also, any advise on other discounts that may be out there?

Discounts roll out in blocks; when one discount period ends for booking, the next one is published and so on.

It is best to sign on or subscribe to a thread that notes discounts for the period you are looking for to stay up on the news.

Also you can look on mousesavers.com and where it says "search" type in historical discounts. It will give you the discounts that have been over the years and when they came out - infamously, anytime kids are out of school represents some of their busiest times of year, so Thanksgiving is one of those weeks. But there may be something out there, you never know.

November 21 to December 11 is usually not included. That period is usually blacked out.

Oops, just went back and re-read your question. My answer was regarding the free dining offer. Not sure about the florida resident discounts but I believe that traditionally they do not include the week of thanksgiving. However, you never know. You could get lucky.

We got free dining over Thanksgiving last year (2013), but we had to check into our hotel the Friday before Thanksgiving to get it. In 2014 the check-in cutoff was the Thursday beforehand, so clearly they are trying to make it harder for people to use such discounts during Thanksgiving week. Other discounts are usually in the same boat (room only, resident discounts, etc.). I would operate on the assumption that you won't be receiving any discounts with such limited travel dates. Regardless, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip!!!

I'm hoping for Nov. discounts as well.

I know we have always gotten them in the past. So here is to hoping we get them again!!

We're on the look out for mid- November RO discounts! I read the crowds are low so I'm hoping for a good rate!
