Dollar have gone way down tonight, just booked via carrentalsavers 11/25-12/6, intermediate for only $214 total!!!!! Not much more on dollar's own site.

I've always gotten the best rates within 2 weeks of my trip, the best I've done was a mid size for 9 days for $87 and that was including all taxes and fees !!

Thats the best I have ever heard.....I once got a Chrysler 300 for 110 for a week.....

Well, I got a crazy low $207 per week for our dates at Thanksgiving for a minivan. However, when I went to reserve and they added fees and taxes it ended up at $405 for my 10-days.

Going to stay with Alamo for now. It's $395 with all fees and taxes included for 10 days and since I'm in "insider" the hubby can also drive for free.

Thanks for all the codes and recommendations. I'm still hoping to get my cost down a bit more.

Enterprise is way down today. Just booked a full size from 11/10 - 11/14 for $160.

When Hertz acquired Dollar/Thrifty, they had to dump Advantage(which Hertz owned for a number of years), which is now located offsite. Hertz then got Firefly, which is not advantage.

I found the Dollar City Special for my dates wasn't that far off ... with taxes and fees Nov 17-25, Dollar is at $205 for a compact vs $195 at Firefly for a intermediate that I booked a few weeks back (it has since gone up to $215!). I figure this way if the line looks long or the service is bad we can pick one and walk to the other counter ... or maybe the rates will drop even lower yet! Still hoping it'll come to under $150 for my dates ...

Just booked a minivan through Costco/Enterprise---$285 for 11/21-11/29---all fees included This is the lowest rental price I've seen in the past couple of months for this time period.

So... my DH and I changed our travel dates by 1 day, and I never even considered that it might mean I would lose my awesome rate for car rental...

I Think I did pretty well though. We were at $165 for Nov 14-23 Now we are at $195 for Nov 14-24th-both prices are for full size vehicles.

I think we did alright, but I am hopeful that we can do even better!

Sounds good IMO, I'm at $258 right now for a full size Nov 13 - 27 with all fees and taxes right in the terminal (Alamo). So you're only $1 more a day than my rate, and like you said, I still check everyday remaining hopeful I can get it cheaper! It went higher and again today it dropped but to the same price I'm already booked at, lol. Luxury car dropped now to its lowest (about $540 for 14 days) but I personally cannot justify that cost.

Look at my previous posts in this thread and try using Alamo logged in as an Alamo Insider using the code I have previously provided in this thread. Cars are again back to the 'low' for today with the exception of standard, it's about $200 more then economy through full size for some reason...

I just rented minivan with Dollar through carrentalsavers.com from 11/8 to 11/15 for $222. Best I found so far.

Did you get that out of MCO? We're flying through Tampa and I haven't seen a price that good yet.

Just reserved through carrentalsavers.com with Budget for an intermediate SUV $172.81 for a week in early November. Lowest rate I've seen. Anyone else??
