Here is my plan so far, staying @ CSR for 8 nights 11/23-12/1. Will arrive (driving) on Thanksgiving Day will stay at Best Western LBV @ DTD for 1 night on reward points before checking in to CSR.

11/22 - Arrive @ BW in DTD by 10:00am
Can't decide what to do this day -Choice 1-just do DTD shopping or Choice 2- pick up tickets early and go to HS for a couple of hours (this would be DS13 choice)

11/23 - Check in to CSR early, go to MK, back to resort to unpack, Chef Mickeys @ 4:45, return to MK for favorites and Wishes

11/24 - Again not sure what to do this day, This is College Football Game Day and it will be the Alabama/Auburn game probally @ 2:30. We are BIG fans my DH is an Auburn fan and myself and DS are Alabama fans (ROLL TIDE) so we have to watch the game.
-Our options are if we did not visit HS on arrival day to go here for the morning to do favorites the have lunch at Ragland Road and back to resort to watch the game, after game return to HS to see Lights
-another option would be if we go to HS on arrival day to do DTD on this day for shopping and lunch @ Ragland Road then back to resort for the game and the rest of the evening off, maybe some pool time if weather is good

11/25 - Animal Kingdom late arrival, Dinner @ Yak & Yeti @ 4:45

11/26 - Epcot, Dinner @ Chefs de France @ 4:40

11/27 - Hollywood Studios, dinner @ Sci-fi @ 5:20, F!, lights

11/28 - Magic Kingdom, dinner @ BOG (Hopefully)

11/29 - Epcot, late arrival, dinner @ Teppan Do @ 4:45, Illuminatons

11/30 - Magic Kingdom late arrival for late lunch @ LTT @ 2:30 staying for MVMCP

12/1 - Drive Home

DS13 has Aspergers Syndrome so we will have a GAC and will not need FP's. However I plan to get some to gift out and spread a little pixie dust.

So what do you think? What seem like to best choices to make?

Thanks!

Our trips are very similar! We arrive Thanksgiving (we are booked off property at Drury), then move to CSR for the same dates as you.
We're thinking about spending Thanksgiving evening in HS, eating at Sci Fi and seeing the Osborne lights. A lot of our other days we'll be at the same parks as you. Like Erin pointed out, your ADR will be cutting it too close for F!

Oh I have no doubt of that, we love it too! And I'm excited to see it rethemed or whatnot, but I'm trying to mentally prepare for more crowds. :thumbsup2

No doubt the new TT will be busy, but I have three words for you....FASTPASS. ROPE. DROP. They're your new best friends!;)

Do you really need to go back to the resort and unpack? That's a lot of running around unless you planned to take an afternoon break anyway.
11/24 - Again not sure what to do this day, This is College Football Game Day and it will be the Alabama/Auburn game probally @ 2:30. We are BIG fans my DH is an Auburn fan and myself and DS are Alabama fans (ROLL TIDE) so we have to watch the game.

I would go to DTD for the morning, enjoy Raglan Road, then see if the game is playing at ESPN, or go to resort to watch it, Then pool time or if you didn't get to see Fantasmic, hop on over to HS for that.

11/25 - Animal Kingdom late arrival, Dinner @ Yak & Yeti @ 4:45

11/26 - Epcot, Dinner @ Chefs de France @ 4:40

My suggestions are in red. The rest of your schedule looks great! :thumbsup2 I have lots of relatives in Alabama and I'm sure they'll be glued to their TVs for that game! :rotfl:

I just called to get a F! package for Hollywood Brown Derby, its a lunch at 1:30 and she told me it was 2 TS credits!!!! WTH!!! its lunch its the same price point as Coral Reef (which we had an ADR for a dinner) I just cannt do that for a lunch

And I read the stuff yall were posting about Liberty Tree I think I might change my Grand Floridian Cafe to Liberty Tree

Yes, the Fantasmic packages are all 2 credits. We did it once, but the seats weren't worth it to us. Of course it's just DH and I, so we don't mind walking in close to showtime and taking what we can find. There's usually still good seats available for just two people!

Yes your TA would only get commission on what you book, but my guess is that your friends ticket cost more than the days you take off your ticket.

It shouldn't be a problem to change things. You would not have room only. If you have free dining it would stay free dining.

We currently have a 6 night room with 2 day park tickets. We still get free dining for all 6 nights.

Does that make sense?

Thank you, yes it does :)! This is my first ever solo trip and my friend is my best friend so I'd love her to come for a few days. Free dining might just do the trick :goodvibes! Yay, I'm happy now thanks!

My sure has been busy here today, 4 pages to catch up on. So nice to see and share in everyone's excitement for all the November trips. We are so excited and thrilled to be a part of it. My ADR's are all set with the excpetion of BOG. Would love to fit in CM somewhere but I cant seem to snag and ADR for a decent time for breakfast so we will have to do without it I guess. I do keep trying though.

trying to make invitations for our resort ,bb and our dining reservations but i am just not crafty lol. i made one but im not sure if i like it. ill post it after work for comments lol

I have posted before about arriving on Nov 8th and thus missing free Dining, and how frustrating this has been. A few people mentioned just pick your park tickets up early and book a room only for the 8th.

I wrote a letter to Disney guest relations. I just got a phone call back from them. First off you can NOT get tickets early.. although the cast member I just spoke too said she would make special arrangements for me to get mine. She also said there is nothing she can do about the free dining but she gave me a $200 discount and upgraded my park hopper tickets to include the water parks.

No really feeling the magical experience currently.

We have a 7:10 ressie @ Chef Mickey on a day that MK opens at 9a. Is it reasonable to think we can make it there in time for rope drop?

Wow, cant say ive ever heard of Disney compensating someone because their trip doesnt fall during promotional dates :confused3 And the CM you spoke with was misinformed, unfortunately. You can in fact pick up your tickets up to 3 days early.
I would be feeling quite magical if i were in your shoes and just got all that lol

Do you have any kind of discount? (room only, AP, etc.) If not have you tried ordering the FREE planning dvd, custom maps, or saving travel packages on their website.

Great suggestions! You can also check AAA, if your not a member and the discount is good enough it might be worth joining.

No discounts.

Yes, I have the newest dvd. Yes, I got my custom maps weeks ago. Yes, i have saved several packages at various resorts & various options.

Maybe try opening a Disney acct in your DH/DW name and saving offers there. I know I didn't get as many discount offers in my name, not sure if its because the reservation is in my name and they think they don't need to offer a discount if they can get you there without one. :confused3 GOOD LUCK!!pixiedust:
Also make sure you have your Disney acct settings set to receive offers and that they have your current email/mailing address. Most offers will come from Disney Destinations.

Anyone have reservations to take the kiddos to Harmony Barber Shop? I think I'll look over my plans tonight and give them a call tomorrow to see what is available.

They don't take reservations, just walk ins

Polsting this here since ghe Facebook page is messing up-
Those who were counting on Aug 4th for Be Our Guedt...the only source reporting Aug 4th has removed that date and replaced it with late Aug. I know several of us questioned the date since no one else said it, apparently it is incorrect.

My goodness....excuse the bad spellings im on.my Kindle Fire and it obviously su ks for typing on lol
