has anyone ever driven to disney? if so from where?

we are coming from oston,ma and im trying to find a hotel

if we leave at 4 am how far could we get by 10ish

We drove 5 times from CT 2 days 10 hours on the road each day give or take depending on how long we stopped to eat, potty etc. we always stopped for the night in North Carolina not far from the border of S C. I am thinking we stopped 5-6pm and usually left about 3 am by 10pm you might make Georgia.?

another random question..i know im full of em'

what is the weather usually like in florida in nov? is it good pool weather?

The weather is quite unpredictable...but I think it matters where you are from also.

If you live in Ohio, there is a pretty good chance it will be pool weather. If you live in southern Louisiana...your chances are not quite as good.

It can seriously be anything. We have gone from shorts to jackets in one trip.

I agree... upper 80's to the low 30's over the course of 5 days!!! You really can't plan ahead for weather in the south. Just pack light layers and you'll be fine.

I love this!!!! What an EXCELLENT point!!!!

Unfortunately, I'm from South Louisiana...and I know my DD7 will want to swim. I guess it's just a matter of talking DH into going with her. He's originally from Ohio...he should be able to take it better than me!:lmao:

I live in SE Texas and we could have swum the days we were there in early December. Mid 70s-low 80s! Then again I'm of the mind anything above about 65 is good for a pool (especially a heated one). ;)

I am from the north but March was even a bit chilly to go swimming The times I like to hit the pool early am or in the evening. Even though we take mid day breaks and return to the resort that is when the pools are the busiest so I avoid them. I am not even taking my bathing suit this trip so that should guarantee a late Nov- early Dec heat wave

With the pools being heated...it probably wouldn't be bad in the 70's...but getting out and getting to the room sounds horrible to me.

But then I'm 95lbs and I get cold easily.

Well I finally got all my ADR's straight and I am NOT touching them. I am so scared something else will go wrong... its a sign to stop :upsidedow LOL

What you went through was a real nightmare so I can understand your not wanting to mess with them again. Glad you were able to get everything back

I'm not comfortable in sneakers either. Flip flops are out and sneakers I can do for 1/2 day but not a whole day. I am in love with these cushiony flats from Payless by Champion. I have them in 4 different colors. So I'm weird right there with you! Cheapo shoes but they don't bother my feet at all!:confused3
I guess I'm part of the weird club as well. The other day I had bought two dress shoes at Nine west for $60 each, then I went to payless and found something very similar in style (you could barely tell the difference) and they were only $20 and with the BOGO sale, the second pair was $10. When I tried them on, they were so much more comfortable than the nine west shoes I had just bought. Well guess what? The expensive shoes went back and I bought the Payless ones.

You are who I aspire to be! But it all starts with the first trip, right?;)
The first trip and being part of these boards. Our first trip was in 2008... back then we thought we wouldn't be back for another few years. Then in 2011 when I started planning our trip I found the disboards and became obsessed with anything Disney. So now I told DH that we will be taking annual trips to Disney.:cool1:

I know I always seem to have better luck with cheap shoes. Not always the most fashionable but def the most comfy!!

And I am sooooo happy I found the Dis boards. I was turning my DD3.5 into a neurotic planner!:rotfl: She's still in on it big time but at least now I get some answers from people who have been there! And this thread is the absolute best, I really don't know what I would do without you all helping me along!:)
